I’ve always appreciated the warm and friendly staff here — it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. The sandwiches are generally excellent and reliably tasty. That said, I wanted to offer a bit of constructive feedback from a recent visit. I ordered the soup of the day, which was advertised as being made with homemade chicken stock — a lovely touch in theory. Unfortunately, the flavour of the stock was overpowered by a heavy dose of pepper, and the cup itself was only half filled, which felt a little disappointing. I also found the €15 price tag for the takeaway farmhouse salad quite steep given the relatively small portion size, and some of the advertised ingredients missing. These are small issues in the grand scheme of things, and they won’t stop me from returning — especially for the sandwiches, which remain a real highlight. I hope this feedback is helpful.

So disappointed. Ordered the farmhouse salad bowl for €15.25 which is steep enough! Includes chicken and bacon and croutons in description which i got NONE of and was charged an extra €2.50 for asking for the chicken. So nearly €18 for a bowl of lettuce, seeds, 2 cherry tomatoes and scatter of chicken. Won’t be back - Replying here… i have attached the receipt showing the charge for a salad bowls. We got take away.

I've visited this little cafe on route to Crumlin hospital , its always been great food, but the addition of their freshly cooked breads n cakes and the coffee is excellent. I had a lovely brekkie this morning with famous sour dough and cheesy spinach n poached eggs... yum yum Front of house Meave n Susan very nice and attentive. Pierce gave the sourdough the 10out 10 it deserves xx

No opening hours at entrance ..as we got seated and ready to order we were told it's closed but will be served food , you can imagine poor selection of course and even though I wanted certain salad I accepted sourdough sandwich and soup..I was served sandwich with white pan ...throughout meal 10min place was in cleaning mode ..how apetizing ..and as someone was buying bread we asked is there more and they said yes ! ..but no sign of price or anything just noted that it's bit squashed ..thought ok why not !..it turned out that loaf of white bread was 5 euro ! Yes ! Read it again FIVE euro for squashed pan of bread ...even marks &Spencer is cheaper. ..This was second and last time I'm in ...terrible customer care ...for cca 25e two sandwiches (not with requested ingredients ) and two small cups of mushroom soup plus infamous bread ! NO thank you! Even if I pay same at least no one will clan and mop around me so I can relax with food . Big...

For an area so poorly served by good food this is an absolute gem 💎 I stopped by for lunch on a miserable monday and dispite the place being jammed (and also catering for takeaway!), I was treated so warmly and welcomed with pleasure, I would guess it may have been the owner that served me. I was given a sharing table which doesn't bother me in the slightest especially since the tables are large.

I got the jalapeño chicken sandwich with a cup of soup. The the value that you get here is incredible but also the quality of the food was so lovely and fresh! I would definitely recommend it!...
