What can I say about this place? Was very excited to try as confirmed that Thindi is fully halal. Great, we visited this afternoon, the inside of the restaurant is a mess. Nearly every single table hasn’t been cleaned. The girl working there tries to get us to sit at the only table that is clean, but keep in mind, this is a fully empty restaurant. There’s no other customers in store. So we ask for a different table to get cleaned.. that’s fine. She cleans it. But the rest of the tables are all dirty, and throughout our entire time in the restaurant, they are not picked up or cleaned. Very weird and disgusting to be honest. This restaurant has no customers in it. Anyways, order food, that’s fine. Eventually get served the food, it’s way too casual and atmosphere from the staff. We ordered the sliders, chicken tikka as starters and butter chicken with naan as main. The chicken tikka starter was freezing. The lamb sliders did not say they had mint sauce in it in the menu which is my criticism. The butter chciken could have been just about any chicken curry. I would hardly call it butter chicken, and it had an overpowering taste of too much cardamom. It was ok. The food wasn’t terrible. But the restaurant is unclean. The windows are dirty, glasses didn’t look clean and as mentioned the other tables had not been cleaned. I am unsure why a restaurant thinks it’s acceptable to have customers in with every other table having dirty dishes on it. They were not busy at all and clearly the staff on duty have enough time to do this work. Honestly in hindsight, we should have left when we saw all the dirty dishes. When we were served the food, we asked for two plates to share the curry. The girl “serving” us brings them from the back and just leaves them on the pass, telling us to pick them up ourselves. Thought this was terrible customer service for a restaurant. Which brings me to the point to say, they need to decide whether they want to be a restaurant or a takeaway. Because they are doing awful on the restaurant side of things. They should really be looking at their staff, who clearly cannot be bothered to be working in a restaurant. If this is the service when it’s empty, I dread to see if it’s ever busy. Very disappointed by the place. Really wanted to love it because the menu options seemed good and the value for money. But it wasn’t enjoyable and the food was mediocre. I’d give this place a miss.

Checked this place out for the first time recently and was really impressed . Ordered for collection and food was ready as soon as I arrived. Food quality was great, lamb Rogan josh and chicken Tikka , really nice , tender meat. Loads of flavour. Tiffin box was great, bahji in particular was one of the nicest I've had. Lots of flavour and nice textures off the food. Would order from here again

Worst service , so rude. Didn’t accept my student card due to their illiteracy. Very insulting. Frozen samosas (store bought) were fried , nothing made in the restaurant. Onion bhaji was under cooked, gram flour could be seen inside. Chicken kebab were tasteless and chicken wings were just two. Too oily and old food.

Had a very disheartening and disturbing experience at Thindi yesterday afternoon, absolutely no complaints about the food but the service was shocking. The lady at the till who also serves the food was extremely rude and I think racist as well. Me and my brother went to dine in around 3:30pm for a late lunch and ordered a vegan loaded naan and 2 tofu Thai curry lunch deals. It was quite disheartening for me when we were the only ones told to come and collect the food from the counter, everyone else at the restaurant were being served at the table. I have absolutely no problem with collecting the food myself, I’m more than able to do that and I don’t mind it at all, I felt very disrespected when we were the only ones who were being asked to get up and collect it. The lady had the audacity to ask me to pick it up and then served a customer right after that. The only thing I can comprehend of this whole situation would be that it was a racist act, since we paid the dine in rates for the food we ordered as well and we deserved the same kind of experience like the rest of them in the restaurant. I have decided that I will never step foot in this...

Avoid Avoid Avoid....

I figured that if camile had gone downhill due to the things taken over by thindi surly to God, the Indian food should be out of this world...

How wrong was I 🤣

Chicken korma was like potato soup funny taste off it, the chicken also had a funny taste off it considering there was all of 5 small pieces in the actual korma itsself I was surprised given the inflated price.

That been said on to the naan bread this was like something that had been left on the walkinstown road for all the rush hour traffic to drive over..

It's absolutely shocking..

The rice was not cooked properly. I was concerned at this point as rice isn't that hard to cook...

Chicken tikka

This was a full of water or some liquid for some reason 🤔

The drink...

Yes, there is nothing like a warm can of coke to wash your...
