Javinos Caffè — Restaurant in Limerick

I had a terrible experience in this cafe and would never go back. The owner/manager is very unprofessional and ridiculed and mocked me within earshot and loud enough for me and others to hear. He was giving out about me to another customer, mocking me by saying "she said she cant see the sign and its right there in front of her", laughing fakely, because I had not seen the sign on the way in the door that said no table service, as I was distracted by the waitress giving a warm welcome when I entered. I also don't have the best eyesight unfortunately. We had a discussion about it and I thought it was sorted when I went to the till to order. I wasn't aware his fragile ego couldn't accept the feedback that perhaps they could mention it to customers instead of letting them sit there indefinitely. (I was sat beside the counter so it would have been common courtesy). I was so uncomfortable that I left my food and asked for my coffee to go. I thanked the waitress and left but was shaken.

We went in and had to wait for quite some time before we decided to get up ourselves to get a menu (there is table service - although my this time!). After deciding what we wanted we then had to go up to the counter to order, again the waitresses were not very attentive (it was average busy, and they did see us). I wanted the soup and i was told they wouldn't have it ready until 12pm, when they begin lunch. It was 11:30 at this stage.

It's a pity we had this experience in our first trip there, the food looked good.

Overall the prices are a bit above average, the decor and layout is nice. Plenty of parking in front of the premises. There really need to improve on their customer service when there are so many good cafes...

I went here this morning for breakfast with my daughter and granddaughter. It was not an experience I would care to repeat. While the waitress was very helpful the food was terrible. I explained I needed a coeliac breakfast and the waitress suggested a mini breakfast and boy was it mini. I asked for egg tomato beans and mushrooms. What I got was half a tomato four pieces of mushroom a small rankin of beans and an egg. I think even the waitress was amazed at the portions and insisted on bringing me an extra egg. All of the food was cold. While the full breakfast looked substantial and nice it too was cold and most of our food remained untouched. For the price one would expect...
