I’d been told that Milano’s is very overpriced and overrated but I noticed they were doing a deal (Buy 1 pizza, get another for €1) so my friend and I decided to give it a try. When we hopefully arrived w/o a reservation the woman at the front was very short with us and told us to come back in 30mins even though we could see dozens of empty tables. We thought maybe they were getting ready to switch to a different menu hence not being able to seat us or that there were reservations due to come in but when we came back, it was probably even emptier. We were seated by a very lovely man and I asked immediately if that deal was applicable and he initially said no but checked once more and came back to say yes. Then the woman who took our order said the deal isn’t applicable unless we have a voucher? We then directed her to the man from earlier so they could discuss it. The miscommunication left us up in the air for a bit as we weren’t keen enough on pizza to pay full price for both of ours as it’s more on the expensive side. They confirmed the deal was applicable. The pizzas themselves were okay. Nothing mindblowing, and we both got 1/2 additional toppings since they would’ve been more on the bland side had we not. I don’t think I’d recommend here to anyone, it just wasn’t worth the time we spent waiting to be seated or the money we paid (even moreso had we paid full price). 🤷‍♀️

Honestly, the place looked really good, and we had heard great things about you, which is why we decided to order from your restaurant. However, the halloumi portion didn’t resemble the one shown on the menu at all — it was quite small, all the pieces were clumped together and greasy. In the photo, they looked much bigger and not like such tiny pieces. The garlic bread with cheese, unfortunately, was inedible — a large, rough piece of bread with a doughy texture that turned into a lump in the mouth and was very hard to eat. On top of that, it barely tasted like garlic. The pesto balls were just okay — not particularly tasty. The pizza was soggy and I had to reheat it in the oven just to be able to eat it. As it was delivered, I couldn’t eat it. Also, once the delivery driver picked up the order, it took more than an hour to arrive, even though we are only 1 km away from Liffey Valley. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this experience, despite the good things we had heard about the place.

Top class visit to Milano today, don't often go there but my visit today would make me want to go back...again and again❤. Ordered the Diavolo, our waiter Ranty discussed options with us regarding the hotness level of our pizza and then took our order with a big smile, very cheerful indeed. We only had a pizza each, it's really large and neither of us could finish it, washed down with a jug of ice cold water. We could see the chef cooking, he wore a hat and a cover on his beard, all looked extremely hygienic. We had an online voucher which was accepted without issue... a huge €11 off 😎. We were greeted and seated by Elena, served by Ranty and both these guys were super friendly, smiley, courteous and professional. We walked out with a full belly and a smile on our face too.... thanks to Ranty and Elena💚

Myself and my partner visited on Sunday late evening. We had asked for a table and we're told we had to wait 15 minutes until a table became available that was fine and we decided to wait. 20 minutes had passed, as we had seen 3 tables free, but they weren't cleared. As we waited another group of customers had walked up and asked the waiter for a table, who had not booked in prior as we did.

We decided to wait and see if they got table before us and they were seated. We then asked the waiter and explained we had been waiting over 20 minutes at this stage. After little bit of confusion, we were seated, the tables were not cleaned or sanitised. My menu/ placemat was dirty with the previous customers pasta stuck to the page. We ordered the food which was nice.

We spoke to the manager and explained and asked why we had to wait when other people could just easily walk up and get a table. The manage wasn't very accommodating, and gave us a vague excuse that they were busy and couldn't help what had happened. The service was poor and we had to ask for drinks a couple of times, the cutlery wasn't very clean and not the usual Milano standard that we had become accustomed too. Needless to say we won't be back for a very long time, especially the liffey valley restaurant. Customer service has well and truly gone out the window. Table's were back to back and there wasn't any social distancing or space...

So arrived last Monday 3rd April 2023 to Milanos Liffey Valley to meet a friend for dinner . She got there first and went in to get a table ( we did not book -monday night etc etc ) . Walked in 2 floor staff and the front of house. about 40% occupancy. She asked for a table was told no that she did not have enough staff to cater for a table of 2???? I then went in and asked about 10 mins later, she siad the same so I asked could I come back? she said she could give me a table in 30 mins. I asked could we wait at the table as it was freezing outside and happy not to be served for 45 mins, she siad no. Then swiftly told me they would only hold the table for 15 mins. Absolutly disgraceful service, no smile no apology - I feel sorry for whoever has this Liffey Valley franchise as you will be out of business soon. The only good thing about Milanos is that you can use your Tescos vouchers there - the only reason I go. The GF pizza is tiny that you have to buy 2. I gave this 1star instead of no stars as I wanted to ensure it appeared. Will not be visting this store or any Milanos again. We promptly went to Gourmet Burger - service with a smile , deligted to have our business and they were rewarded...
