We love Nandos. But today my family experienced d baddest experience ever dining out!! We ordered family sharing &was enjoying it until this one waiter ruined our appetite & we ended up taking the food home. He approached our table & asked if he can take our plates. We said no, not yet. Then after a short time he came back cery persistent to take our plates, again!!Common sense, he can see we still have more than half of the sharing food on the table!! How can u ask if u can take our plates away? I just couldnt ear anymore so i decided to pack d food & go home,. As we stood up my husband called the waiter to tell him that he can take the plates now coz he is too excited to take it anyways(my husband obviously llst his cool thats why he did that) But this guy answered back asking whats wrong with him asking to take the plates??!! Seriuosly? My husband told him it is rude & disrespectful to ask especially if it’s so obvious that we still have loads of food on the table. & how can we eat the food if he’ll take it away right? That guy left still unapologetic believing he didnt do anything wrong with his sarcastic face & smile.
So i spoke to the manager , & she told me that theyre trained to take the plates if empty. Is this regardless if we are still eating or not? ‘Empty ‘meaning we should load all the sharing food that we ordered on our individual plates so u will not take our own plates until it’s empty? Is that correct? Is that right? Then ur training them wrong!!! Instead of asking the diners how’s d food or if everything is ok or if we need anything else, u’ll just rudely take the plates away? U cant even say u guys r rushing d diners coz theres a queue outside. U have to remember we queued as well before we got our table. The only thing we expect from u is to let us enjoy our food. There is a nice way to tell us u need our table back than taking our plates away. But we’re not even there for so long yet.it was less than 15mins after d order came. So whats wrong? U cant do that to your customers!!! So rude practice u r training ur team!!!...
Read moreI just wanted to share some feedback following our recent visit to Nando’s in Liffey Valley. My colleague and I usually treat ourselves to dinner at Nando’s after work, and it’s been something we’ve genuinely looked forward to. As employees within Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, we’ve really appreciated the 20% discount that was offered in the past, it felt like a nice gesture that acknowledged our connection to the centre and made it a little easier to enjoy a good meal, especially with how prices are these days. However, during our recent visits, we noticed the discount had been reduced to 10%. While a bit disappointing, we didn’t make a fuss. it was still something. But yesterday, when we visited again, we were told by the staff at the till that no such discount has ever existed for Liffey Valley workers, and they refused to apply any kind of reduction. This was quite a shock, as it contradicts our previous experiences over several visits. It honestly left us quite disappointed. We’ve always chosen Nando’s over other options in the centre because of the good food and the feeling that the brand supports local workers. Sadly, this experience left us feeling quite the opposite. Also, while we didn’t raise it at the time, one of the chicken dishes we ordered yesterday was quite undercooked, which was another letdown. We’ve decided not to return to this branch going forward, which is unfortunate because it used to be a spot for us. we just wanted to share our experience in the hope it might be...
Read moreMyself and my kids stopped here for food on our way home from a day out. Mainly because it was a convenient detour. We waited 30 min after placing a reservation as requested at the door as it was very busy. Finally went and asked about our table, the host apologised because we hadn't received a text yet, said he'd sent it about 15 min earlier. We were standing by the door the entire time. He could have checked with us! Finally at our table but it was very grubby, the table smelt like an old dish cloth and there was bits of food under the table along with pretty much every other table. We ordered using our phones and the food was fine. Though the coleslaw was pretty awful and tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a couple of days. There was an awful smell (like fish?) coming from the kitchen every time the doors opened. If we hadn't been so hungry we definitely would have gone elsewhere. Toilets too could have benefited from some TLC, the stairs and hall could do with a good scrub down. Cant say much about the staff as it was all automated but with brief encounters, they all seemed nice if a little stressed?
Perhaps we arrived after a large kids party or they had had a particularly busy day, but Overall, it was not a great experience for a very expensive meal and definitely...
