The Studio Café — Restaurant in South Dublin

TWO DAYS AGO I DRANK A PEPPER MINT TEA WITH A FRIEND AT THE "SMOKERS " TABLES OUTSIDE OF STUDIO CAFE IN THE QUAINT VILLAGE OF OLD RATHFARNHAM. ON OTHER OCCASIONS I HAVE EATEN A GOOD LUNCH WITH MY HUSBAND PADDY. ON OUR LAST VISIT I ATE FISH AND CHIPS AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT HOW GOOD IT TASTED. MY HUSBAND CHOOSE A BURGER AND CHIPS FROM THE STUDIO MENU. THE BURGER WAS A GENEROUS PIECE Y MEAT. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THE STUDIO CAFE HAS AN ECLECTIC CLIENTELE. ... LITTLE OLD LADIES, STUDENTS, LUNCH HOUR WORKERS, TEENAGER . LONERS , MOTHERS WITH YOUNGSTERS. THE MIX IS LIKE DOLLY MIXTURE. THIS CAFE DOES A BRISK TRADE FOR MORNING BREAKFAST AND LUNCH, AFTERNOON SCONES. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PLACE IS LIKE IN THE EVENING'S AS I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE NIGHT.THOUGH BUSINESS IS BRISK BETWEEN TWELVE AND HALF ONE THE WAIT FOR ORDERED FOOD IS NEVER TERRIBLY LONG. AS A CULTURE FOX AND THEATRE GOER I LOVE THE WALLS OF THE STUDIO CAFE. THESE WALLS ARE.COVERED WITH BLOWN UP SIZED PROGRAMMES FROM THEATRES .. WAY BACK ACTING WITH THE OLD PRICES FOR SEATS ! EVEN IF YOU HAVE A CAR IT IS BETTER TO WALK OR TRAVEL BY BUS ( 16 ) TO THIS PLEASANT CAFE. . I WONDER ABOUT THE NAME OF THIS CAFE ? IS IT NAMED BY THE IDEA OF A REHEARSING STUDIO SPACE. SOMEWHERE IN MY BRAIN I.HAVE THIS NOTION THAT THE OWNER IS COMMITTED TO DRAMA !? .CLOSE BYE THERE IS AN ARTIST STUDIO WHERE PEOPLE TAKE CLASSES IN PAINTING COULD THAT B THE REASON FOR TITLE STUDIO CAFE ? Went in here this morning had coffee with a friend, absolutely horrendous service and attitude by the older gentleman who served us. I don't know if this man was the owner or staff but his face was tripping him. I saw him snap a plate off one of the other staff and growl at her. Banged our coffees on the table abruptly. Had a good experience the first time here but second time wasn't the best, some ingredients not in stock but only told after the food came and was missing them. No alternative offered and had to go in to order as it didn't seem anyone was coming back out to us. Disappointing experience this time but food was fine, next time we will ask before purchasing if anything is out of stock or going to be missing. Shop across the road too the missing items could have been bought instead of just not...
