The Mariner Pub, located across the South Quay, offers a delightful experience for anyone looking to enjoy a classic Irish pub atmosphere. I visited on a Friday night and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their Guinness. The pint was incredibly smooth and creamy, easily one of the best I've had in a long time. Priced at €5.70, it's a fair deal for the exceptional taste and experience. The ambiance of the pub is cozy and welcoming, perfect for winding down after a long week. The staff at the Mariner Pub are friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. In particular, the bartender stood out for their professionalism and charm. They were not only efficient in serving drinks but also made sure to engage with customers, adding a personal touch that enhanced the experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, the Mariner Pub is a great spot to enjoy a pint of Guinness and soak in some authentic Irish hospitality. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable night out.

I am always hesitant to write a review of a food establishment, as I understand that jobs can be put at risk. However our recent experience today warents it.

The bar itself looks lovely, And the waitress was polite and professional, but the food was horrendously dreadful. I would go as far as saying its the worst food we have ever been served.

The lasagna was beyond the worst I have ever had. It was tasteless gloupy pulp/vomit in a bowl, topped with what looked/tasted like an easy single. And then microwaved far to long. The chips where typical.

The chicken goujons my partner had where almost burnt and tasteless. This is the kindist way to describe it.

If you want to know the quality of the food here. Picture the worst chipper food in the country. And that would probably still be better.

The chef...

Loved it here the sweetest little pub the server was the best marianne I think 🤔 but she's was soooo accommodating to us.. and wow the in-house bartender is the best he was able to make flaming zamboucas (two friends were on the hunt for them didn't expect them here but nonetheless super chuffed) the drinks are such a good price lads make your way over its just so nice it's a good...
