4 stars for food but decor and toilet cleanliness let it down.
Pros: Food is excellent
Cons Toilets are disgusting every time I’m there. It’s not like there was a once off bad day. Every single time I’m there, they are dirty and the toilet paper is not on a proper holder or dispenser up off the ground so it’s always wet. Decor is very rough. I think they were going for the laid back hipster vibe but they ended up taking it too far and the vibe feels a bit low budget, hacked together. They made tables out of pallets, which is fine, but the blue adhesive stickers they used to stick the glass down on top of the pallets look so rough, as if they were an after thought. There a small details like this that would really elevate the place if they had more effort put into them. The service is mixed depending on who you get. One person in particular is very good but if you don’t get her serving you, it’s hit and miss.
But despite the cons, I’ll still keep going back because the food is...
Read moreOkay firstly apologies to the lovely owner Shanta and staff for such a late review! My two friends and I were staying in Arklow for the weekend of 17-19th Sept and struggled to find a place that offered halal options for one of my friends! I found Wok Star on google and emailed for confirmation. I was sceptical about Indian food in Dublin but boy we’re we blown away!
The food is absolutely delicious and the service is even more impeccable! It was obvious from the moment we walked in that the food was prepared with so much passion and love! We loved that Shanta personally came over to check that everything was good! It meant so much!
The food portions are plentiful and prepared fresh from wok to plate!
I was so gutted we only found Wok Star on the last day of our trip! Otherwise we’d happily would have dined breakfast, lunch and dinner there! If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with a fusion twist defo give this place a try! You will not be...
Read moreWe loved our experience at Himalayan Aroma. All the food we ordered was up to the mark.
Food: For the starters, we ordered Masala tiger prawns and it was mind-blowing. For the mains, we had Nepali Himalayan Chicken curry. It’s a yogurt based curry was absolutely divine. They do customise the spice level to make it according to your taste buds. We asked for it to be a bit spicy and we loved the flavour. Our server confirmed that they can also make it leas spicy if you’d like. To accompany the curry, we had onion and coriander naan and I would 100% recommend it to complement your curry. At the end we had mango lassi. It was absolutely tasty and flavourful.
Service: Our server was really sweet and helped is through the menu. He was quite friendly and the service was fast.
It was a really...
