Cobra Tandoori — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Bandon-Kinsale

I wish there was an option for not giving any stars. Worst experience ever from any restaurant so far in the country. Totally disappointed.

Two things, the food and the service.

Talking about food, my order was cold and dry. As we were in town only for a couple of hours, we were looking for a dine in but the restaurant manager refused at the first point. We decided to get a takeaway.

The restaurant refused to receive the payment by card and insisted to pay by cash. I clearly wanted to stay away from using cash because of the COVID-19 precautions. However after I insisted on the card, the manager agreed to take the card.

We waited for the food outside and had to wait for more than 15 mins for such a small order even though it was 3 in the afternoon with an empty room. We walked in again to ask for the status of the order and the manager was very rude saying 'I said 15 mins and when it's 15, I'll tell you' but more in an unpolite manner. I completely understand there can be delay in preparation and delay in service. I don't mind waiting longer however a little acknowledgement is appreciated.

We took the takeaway and there was no spoon or fork provided alongside. The pack was dropped on a nearby table by the manager saying it's ready. I was so shocked by this arrogant behaviour by a restaurant staff.

Such a disappointment. Not recommended under any circumstances. Worst experience ever. Hope you hire some nice staff atleast to talk politely...

My wife, my 3 children and myself had the worst dining experience EVER at this place. The staff was extremely rude, they made us feel very uncomfortable while ordering our food. The man who took our order questioned the amount of food we ordered. When we placed our order we ordered 3 main dishes, and 2 fruit drinks. We are not big eaters and that is plenty of food for us to split. His response was but you have 5 people!! While we were eating the cook from the back came out and said do you want rice? It’s on the house, as if we couldn’t afford to order more food. While we ate the staff in the front stared at us the whole time. Not only was the service terrible the food was the worst Indian food I’ve had in my life, and by far the worst food we have had in the country. Like I said we are not big eaters so we of course has left overs, when we asked for to go boxes to pack our leftovers they had the nerve to ask us to pay for the container they packed the food in. Avoid this place at all cost. Not worth a single penny! If I could I would give this place...

Avoid. Ordered delivery from here and waited for more than 2hrs for it to arrive (called after an hour and told that it would be 10 more minutes) - Eventually had to go to the restaurant and staff couldn’t decide whether my order was nearly ready, ready or even existed at all. The woman behind the counter seemed to think it was quite funny as she was virtually laughing in my face.

When I asked them to forget about the order and issue a refund, the order was suddenly ready but I’d need to wait 10-15 more minutes for them to ‘freshen it up’ as it had been sitting there for so long. They also then refused to give me a cash refund and said that I would need to apply for one online through their booking provider. Absolutely disgraceful level of customer service which the staff were minimally...
