O'Herlihys Kinsale | OHK Cafe — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Bandon-Kinsale

Went here for the first time a couple of months ago, the food was lovely and I really enjoyed it. Tried to come back last weekend at 2.30pm and was told the last orders are at 2, this was fine. Came back again yesterday based on this information at 1.50pm (yes cutting it tight) and the kitchen was already closed apparently, no apology from the member of staff. Also proceeded to check her watch to say “the kitchen closes at…” realised it wasn’t 2pm and then finished with “this is a brunch place..?” A good place for food/coffee but not much else. Maybe an update to business hours or the fluid kitchen timetable on Instagram/google might be more useful? Any other establishment would’ve taken an order at that time, the place shuts at 3pm per opening hours, why is the kitchen closed 70 minutes in advance on a sunny weekend day? Most of the menu is eggs etc, we already knew our order. Two portions of Turkish eggs and two coffees could easily be prepared by 2/2.05 and not to mention another 35ish euro put...

Impeccable breakfast, seriously the best breakfast and possibly the best food so far. Ordered the open salmon toast breakfast. It came with a perfectly dressed micro green salad, the smoked salmon and toast were excellent as well. I got the full plate that came with poached eggs and halloumi as well. Halloumi was nice and lightly salty and well grilled. The eggs were either made by someone who actually likes poached eggs or has been well trained. No water, excess egg white gone, slightly runny yolk. Best poached eggs I have had outside my own kitchen. The service was friendly and the iced coffee was delicious. They also have a counter which was nice for a solo traveler to not feel bad about taking up an entire table. I will be back before...

Came here to have coffee and a cake with my girlfriend on a day trip to Kinsale. We were seated as normal and given menus, staff seemed friendly initially.

After ordering our food, the tone of the staff member changed immediately, we were advised that we couldn't sit down if we were not ordering one of their expensive meals. I was asked if we wanted a coffee to go, to which I responded, yes please and proceeded to wait. After some minutes the same staff member came out and asked if we needed anything and I said we were just waiting for our coffee, to which she responded "I didn't take any coffee order from you"
