Shocking Behaviour – Disrespectful to Designated Drivers & Non-Drinkers

Five of us went into this bar. Three of us ordered pints, while the other two asked for water, one is a designated driver, and the other has an illness that makes them unable to drink alcohol. The very rude staff member told us if we’re not all spending money then we have to leave.

Since when does being sober mean you don’t have the right to sit in a pub? With people who are drinking? That kind of attitude is not just unwelcoming, it’s flat-out ignorant. People should be encouraged to act responsibly, not kicked out for it.

Look elsewhere for...

The air was thick with the aroma that seasoned pint men covet the most...an almost intangible mix of Friday afternoon's and large sporting events. The Beamish was delectable and fortified by a draw that would shame an architect. A true gem of a pub that is a garrison of the way Ireland should be represented in Kinsale. This was our favorite stop in town! Anthony & Frank were welcoming and a pleasure to talk to, great drinks, & a great time! And THE BEST courtyard of any pub we visited during our 3 week trip around the country - please go say hello! And a special thanks to Frank for going above and beyond when I left something very valuable behind! 😉 If we're ever in Kinsale again, we'll definitely be...

Travelling from Canada, this was our first stop in Kinsale and we were so glad to come across it. A nice local pub with great staff, Graham was such a fantastic host and an absolute genius with the pints. definitely one of our top 3 pints of Guinness in the entire country, would recommend to anyone thinking of heading to Kinsale!

Great family owned pub. Quaint. A locals recommended place for a drink. An absolutely incredible environment. Cash only. Cozy corners, small bar, back room and out door seating. Sam's owner is one of the kindest hosts we have experienced. Highly recommend for a drink!
