Been here twice, using it as a handy stop, post ferry and before long journey South. We parked on both occasions in the church car park just behind.
Our first visit was why we returned. We'd arrived early Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty quiet. Sports news on the TVs and a general murmuring of a few punters. We were welcomed and seated at a table by a very warmly engaging barman, who remained very attentive throughout our visit. This was our first return to Ireland since the month before lockdown and it was just the welcome we needed, and had missed.
We stayed for about 90 mins, and ate and drank and were refreshed as we had hoped we would be. It set us up for the onward journey, the remainder of which flew by.
The second time was at about 6pm on Easter Monday; this time I'd picked people up from the airport. It was much, much busier. Again, sports were on the TVs and the place was hopping. Table service remained despite this and we were once again refreshed.
We'll definitely be back for as long at it remains this...
Read moreI have visited this establishment many times and have always found the staff courteous and helpful. The food is top grade and plentiful. The menu is also varied and value for money. A place that could be over looked by a lot of visiting families to Bray because of its location (not being close to the seafront), it is certainly a good alternative with its own off street parking to make things that little bit easier. Furthermore on a recent visit I unfortunately left my phone behind. When I rang it that evening it was answered by a member of staff informing me the phone had been left behind and was safe (At the time of writing I don't know weather it was handed in by a member of public or staff member). When I came back to retrieve the phone not only was it in original condition but also had been fully charged. So with confidence restored with the human race I can hole heartily recommend The Coach Inn and it's staff for a enjoyable experience weather it's for a family meal of...
Read moreAtmosphere was lovely. However once I got my food. The plate was covered in oil. Bones sticking out of my fish and even though it was drenched in oil they managed to over cook the fish. When I asked for another the staff came back with excuses and basically telling me I was wrong of course there would be some amount of oil. It was deep fried which I understand but my whole pate was drenched. Customer is always right and I’m not sure if it was because we aren’t regulars but the treatment wasn’t that great. When they brought me back another it was worse. When I cut the fish open water and oil poured out of it. Not impressed. Would go back but wouldn’t get the fish again. My partners food however was lovely. Dissapointed mine wasn’t of the same standard. You could tell it had been frozen. Customer is always right. Excuse was thats the way it’s served and complained...
