We visited this restaurant for dinner to commemorate a special occasion. Our original choice of location were all fully booked but this place had availability. Since we were dining with a toddler we asked for a quieter spot upstairs away from the crowd. The staff kindly accommodated us and we had the whole upstairs area to ourselves which was a good start.
Service overall was good and the food was okay, nothing particularly memorable but nothing to complain about either.
The issue began when our toddler got excited and let out a quick scream, as toddlers sometimes do. Almost instantly a staff member came upstairs and told us that customers downstairs had complained about being noisy. We found this hard to believe as it happened within seconds, far too soon for anyone to have reported it and for the staff to come up. Given that the downstairs music was louder and people were talking over dinner, it did not feel like a realistic concern. This left us feeling that our celebration had been spoiled unnecessarily.
Afterward another staff member stood nearby and kept looking at us, which felt uncomfortable. When we made eye contact the staff asked if everything was okay, we said yes and staff went downstairs. It would have been better if they had simply told us directly to keep the toddler calm rather than implying that other customers had complained.
Toward the end the staff handling our order, who was kind, brought ice cream and said it's free for you which we politely declined. We understood it was an attempt to make up for the awkward situation. Interestingly our toddler noticed everything and still said a mature thank you very much before we left which was a sweet moment. One staff member gave us a genuine smile and wished us a good day while leaving, which we acknowledged.
The experience left a bad impression. We will not be returning, nor ordering from them again online and I would not recommend this place to families with young children who...

We went out for a birthday dinner last night as a family . The review I am leaving is in relation to very small things, but a few things across the evening. At the end of the day this is a premium restaurant that would boast a higher price tag and from our experience here we assumed we would be getting the same premium service we always get.
When our waiter came over at first and saw we were a family of 3 (not 4) she removed our second small poppadom dish , did not think much of it but felt okay maybe they are cutting back a little. When you go out you want to feel like your being treated and not scraping by like we do every day in life.
Initially we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get any communication to our waiter to say we are ready to order, she possibly did not understand when we asked and walked away and then we waited a further 10 minutes for someone else.
Eventually we got our order in and in fairness The food as always was perfect 5|+ stars for food.
When our starters and mains came on both occasions waiters almost spilled a full dish sliding off the tray onto the table and spilling water multiple times when pouring. Again nothing major but a little on edge, it seemed the waiter was more focused on his phone ringing in his pocket at that moment in time.
When we were given our dessert menus we were looking at a small cake and coffee as we usually order, so we waited 20 odd minutes to order dessert and when the waiter returned to take our order we asked for coffee only to find out the machine was not working... a little work before hand to say just a heads up coffee machine is not working would have been extremely appreciated.
Staff did not seem on the ball last night and seemed unsure of what to do
Food amazing but service I will give 1...
Read moreGreat place, warm hospitality but probably the worst food I had in any Indian resturant. I was in Bray on Saturday the 29th of October, 2022 with my spouse. The weather was quite windy and cloudy so decided to give a try to this resturant after some walk along the Bray beach as I am big fan pf spicy food. Since we didn't have enough info about which Indian resturant would be good in the area we just went with the rating in Google reviews and found this one has the largest reviews.
It opened at 5 PM, we went there. Was welcome by the nice friendly lady and then we order a bottle of wine, the Pink most famous starter platter along with chiken Tikka as main course to my spouse and Chicken Vindaloo for myself. We also ordered a basket of bread and also 2 set of Pilau rice.
The waiter service was great, staff were very friendly, the lady incharge there kept on coming to desk and asked us how was the food? While I didnt want to be rude to say the food was bad in the real time but the experience we had from the taste of food was quite terrible.
The main thing that put us complete off was the amount of sugar in almost every single food. Even Vindaloo that is supposed to be an extra hot dish, was so sweet i couldnt enjoy at all. The Chicken tikka was more like a sugar tikka and all the bread were also terribly sweet.
I did told a waiteress before we left that all the dishes were too sweet and she said she will pass the message to the kitchen.
May be for someone sugar lover in the curry, bread and almost everything this place may be a good place to eat but for me it was the first and is the last visit here.
I would give 5 star for everything else but for the food even 1 star is lot because I spent over 100 euros but I didn't enjoy at all eventhough I tried to eat all as I didn't want my money to go for...
