Has the potential to compete with son of a bun, but just falls short.

Service was slow, but thats to be expected for a new business.

Food: Ordered a milkshake, wasnt great, just cheap chocolate flavoured sauce. Could taste the artificial flavour, not impressed.

Burger: FYI I love blue cheese, so i ordered a blue cheese and whiskey mayo burger(sounds good right!) but the blue cheese was a sauce(rancid)and completely overpowering , didn't seem homemade and more processed from a jar. A thick slab of this blue cheese mayo on both sides, so I couldnt taste anything else in the burger( felt sick from all they blue cheese sauce. I was expecting real blue cheese on the burger. Not sure what the purpose of the whiskey mayo is as you cant taste anything.

From the restaurant layout, menu, drink options it was a complete copy of Son of a bun, but burgers are half the size and not up to scratch, the 3oz burger patties seem to be smaller than advertised, no balance of flavours and poor sauces. Meat patties seem much smaller than SOB. In SOB i couldnt finish a burger and chips, my mrs looked at my burger and said you're gonna be hungry afterwards(she was right) big airy bun with little filling. Little value for money in my opinion, would have just been the night, but disnt justify a date night drive from carrigaline

I went to Bó Burger to try it out, despite not being the biggest fan of burgers. I must say the food was 10/10. I got the ‘Plain Jane’ and the chicken was cooked to perfection. I also got a truffle and Parmesan fries which were absolutely delicious. As my drink, I got the pineapple soda which again, was very nice. My friend got the Korean wings which were “the best wings” he has ever had.

Considering that it is the opening days, I am incredibly impressed with both the food and the service that I received. The layout of the restaurant is perfect and you feel as though you are in the heart of Cork city.

I have already booked in to go back, a testament to the restaurant. Absolutely delighted to have a dinner spot like this in Midleton. It has converted me to a burger lover. I could not...
