Not overly enamoured by my visit for a bite to eat here. I didn't think much of the food I had a breakfast and it was over cooked the rashers were leathery, the egg was very runny, the mushroom was soggy as were the pudding slices, also no beans with the breakfast, also it was very greasy with cooking oil dripping off the rachers when picked up though I did like the sausages served with the breakfast, overall disappointed with what was served. The cafe is a pleasent place well presented and fresh and bright at first appearance from the outside you would think it was very small with about 3 or 4 tables but on entering one is pleasently surprised by how it opens up to include a covered area off to the side with more tables available, I was only given a breakfast menu on sitting at my choosen table so I opted for the full breakfast a few moments after ordering I noticed other customers were handed a different menu to choose from which included fish ie hake which I would have choosen had I been aware it was available. The Staff were very busy cleaning and serving and were very nice to deal with it's a pity that the breakfast was poor otherwise it would have been a pleasent experience to...
Read moreThe attention here is so top-notch, you'd think you were a long-lost royal â they greet you with such enthusiasm that for a second, you'll want to look behind you to see if the Queen has arrived.
The laughter and chatter around create a symphony only broken by the clinking of cutlery. It all screams "Instagram me," so if you forgot your phone, you might as well have not eaten here at all.
Let's spill the beans about the coffee - literally, that might improve it. It's clear the coffee beans were roasted in the fires of indifference, promising a journey through the seven layers of bland. Each sip is like expecting a symphony but getting a kazoo solo instead; it's like theyâre experimenting with a new flavor called "Eau de Disappointment."
In summary, the experience is a delightful symphony with just one off-key note. Fix that, and weâre golden â or, well,...
Read moreI went to the Pantry for lunch because it was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. On arrival the staff was friendly and showed me to my table. I ordered the all day breakfast and a americano. Marion, my waitress made me feel like I was at home and was very friendly. Staff like that are an asset and they are one of the reasons why customers return again and again. The food was very tasty and enjoyable. I regularly visit Midleton and look forward to returning to The Pantry for its wonderful food and service. I would highly recommend the Pantry to anyone visiting Midleton looking for great food and a warm welcome from...
