I’m not one to complain at all so you know it’s bad when I take the time to write a review. I went into Doppio this morning expecting the usual service which is normally pleasant. However this morning I arrived at 12:00 and breakfast was ending as it usually does on a Monday so we browsed the lunch menu for our food and when we were about to order we were told it’s actually still breakfast time because it was a bank holiday Monday which we had not been told prior. Of course we took some time to browse the breakfast menu. When it came to ordering I had asked if I could add a side of chips as I had seen somebody else eating them and was really craving them, and I was told no that it wasn’t yet lunch time, which confused me as somebody else already in the restaurant was served chips. To make matters worse while waiting on our breakfast I saw about 4 or 5 more orders of chips get delivered to other tables, so I struggle to understand why I couldn’t order them. Also, while we were waiting for our food (which I saw resting on the counter for far too long before being served to us) we saw other people get served items of food from the lunch menu. Needless to mention my food was cold when it got to me. I also ordered a Matcha, and I mentioned three or four times that it had to be oat milk as I had felt our server was not really listening to what I was saying and surprise surprise it was full fat milk when it came to me!! When I mentioned all of this to our server she was quite rude and wasn’t very apologetic at all. She got my matcha remade and when she delivered it to our table didn’t say anything at all. It has really ruined any prior experience I’ve had in this establishment and I’ll be sure to let everyone know of the experience I...
Read moreWent to doppio for breakfast this morning and was blown away by the new café & restaurant. Immediately upon walking in the doors we were amazed by how warm and cozy the design of the place was and how welcoming it made us feel.
We were immediately welcomed by friendly and welcoming staff and were seated straight away. Upon looking at the menu, we saw a variety of food choices are were amazed by how much there was to choose from.
We ordered pancakes and avocado on toast with tea and a latte. When our food arrived with a smiling member of staff our first reaction was WOW!!, the presentation of the food was amazing and looked delicious for the eyes to see. On top of that the food tasted out of this world and the drinks were just amazing.
We were occasionally checked on by a friendly member of staff to see if we were ok and if we needed anything and were quite happy to help when asked for anything.
Upon leaving we found that the staff were very grateful to have us and the pricing was quite good and was absolutely worth it for the amazing things we ordered.
We would absolutely go here again and would 10/10 would recommend, the environment was so welcoming it was like we were at home.
I am giving this place, as a first...
Read moreIf this was a review based on the food and service alone 5 stars, My family and I have been coming here for years and have noticed the price increases but the quality of service has kept us coming. Unfortunately I feel completely ripped off after my normal order nearly doubled in price.
To be fair and honest, I always order a build your own breakfast as the servers call it. Avocado on toast, scrambled egg and bacon, off menu but never a problem, until today when I was near charged €27 for this breakfast (not including coffee) I was told (after eating a d now paying) now to order my usual they have to modify a dish costing already €15, removing everything but the avocado on toast (€15 = Avocado on toast) and adding scrambled egg and bacon to the order the bacon alone was a €8 change to the order.
A complete first world problem to complain about your avocado in toast I realise, but just disappointed in the price gouging after years of patronage. Sorry to say we won't be back as frequently, a super busy location I'm sure our business won't affect them at all but you have to draw the...
