Myself and my two children stopped by Lana earlier shortly after 6pm. We didn't have reservations. We were fortunate they weren't too busy at this time. I was previously turned away as they were fully booked which is a good sign for a restaurant. I ordered the Special Fried Rice dish after being amused by the amount of spelling mistakes on the menu. With 14 different locations around Ireland surely they have someone in head office that can proof read before the menu goes to print. As it was relatively quiet, I was surprised that 25 minutes after placing our order we still hadn't received our food. I got the attention of one of the waiters as he was passing and made him aware. It turned out that our order hadn't made it into the kitchen as the waitress who took our order forgot. He was very apologetic and assured us that it was on its way. I would have appreciated an apology from the waitress who took the order but she was obviously embarrassed. Anyway once we got the food, it proved to be delicious and nothing was left on the plate. We all got the complimentary ice cream which was also delicious and had fun pulling the ice cream ourselves. Would I go back...? I probably will as the food was tasty, and I'm hoping this was a simple mistake. Naturally I didn't leave a tip on...
Read moreArrived late to a large group. Had no trouble parking out the back in the free car park. The gentleman who greated me was extremely accommodating, adding an extra table and chair to allow me to join the group. The atmosphere is very comfortable but isn't overbearing, with some serious thought put into the decorations and design. I ordered the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken, which comes grilled. I asked if I could have the chicken fried instead (JFC style). The staff were patient and understanding when we all got a bit confused about who ordered what as the dishes came out in great time.
I've been in Chinese's from Donabate to Doogort, Killarney to Killybegs. Japanese, Thai, Asian Fusion.
That was the best meal I've had in a long time. Mabye ever! (there's a Korean restaurant in Dublin city that has me conflicted). Massive portion, a side of noodles, Juiciest fried chicken I've ever had, with a perfect sauce.
Take a bow, Lana. An absolute must for anyone from or...
Read moreAs always our experience here was fantastic. The quality of the food and value for money are exceptional. In an economy where the price of eating out has become absolutely ridiculous and the quality and value for money ever decreasing Lana has always, in my view, been outstanding and with the added bonus of free whipped ice-cream at the end.... What's not to love? They also offer a monthly special at a reduced price which is another incentive to eat there and try something maybe you hadn't before. The staff are always welcoming and friendly but efficient and have never gotten an order wrong. And I've been going here for years! Also, the decor and atmosphere here are so calm and inviting. But quirky and fun at the same time. I cannot say a bad word about this place. Even our kids love it, they offer a great kids menu that doesn't lack in flavour either! Hats off to you all in there for consistently delivering a...
