This us a little gem in Wicklow Town. It used to be Delahunts for 65 years previously. An end of a generational era in Wicklow. Now it's The Firehouse and it's kept true to the excellent service (from DIY to Bakery/restaurant) the food is amazing tasty and very popular. The Bakery is part of the restaurant and they do a variety of sourdough breads that are gorgeous. Be warned the early bird gets the bread. They can sell out before midday. But I highly recommend giving them a try. I've only given 4 stars fir atmosphere as there is a bicycle shop inside the restaurant with nothing blocking all the bikes in view which is less than ideal makes it a strange I find. Otherwise I would highly recommend the Firehouse restaurant and especially the...

If you love good artisanal bread & wood fire sourdough pizza, Firehouse is right up your street.

The menu isn't very extensive (well, there is a good selection of pizzas!), but there's something for everyone on it and each dish is incredibly made.

Definitely recommend the slow cooked beef brisket & the buttermilk chicken burger. The fries are hot & crispy. The ice tea is home made (no Snapple here! Love the peach ice tea, 2 very clean flavours of tea & peach, gorgeous!) The hot chocolates are also incredible. Salted caramel & hazelnut hot chocolate is a must!

And of course, the usual Firehouse array of fresh breads, cakes, pastries & puddings to buy. Try a cruffin if you haven't already, and the doughnuts...

From the moment we stepped in the door. Waited over 5mins to be seated an had to ask Dog in restaurant barking constantly for 10mins or more. Had to ask for menu. Food arrived cold had to send back. Another dog roaming around the premises. Supervisor seemed more interested in the dog barking than customers petting the dog etc an the continued to serve customers without washing her hands. It was bewildering to watch all this unfold. I really do believe this should be looked into from a health an safety point of view. Finally when I paid the bill it was wrong and told the supervisor that the service and food was poor. She smiled and said she would...

The atmosphere is pretty cosy and also different. They have combined cafe and sports shop. Whatever I ate here was really great. For breakfast I would definitely recommend Avocado and feta on toast also buttermilk pancakes with fruits. Good quality and fresh food here always. For lunch they have variety of foods too. Try their garlic and parmesan french fries as side. It was delicious and crunchy. Also each bread type I have tried there was a success. Definitely recommend hazelnuts one. They have wood fire pizzas too which I am so excited to try one soon.

Excellent for breakfast and coffee is great, service is friendly and efficient. It was quite busy when we were there but service didn't suffer. Would totally recommend The Firehouse! Pictures = Eggs Ranchero with a vacado taco salad and a poached egg! Very tasty! Second photo is a short stack of hazelnut and vanilla cream fluffy pancakes which was absolutely Devine. Deffo recommend both. The coffee is also very good!
