First time ever having a rant here never do it but no wonder Tralee town is struggling with what i experienced this morning in The Brogue Inn, Rock street this morning. SHOCKING!!! Was having a lovely morning with my sister's & God daughter for breakfast in the Brogue Inn after having her hair done & I surprised her with flowers. As I was leaving I went to use the ladies & I was aggressively approached by Fiona Kirby "are you ok? Where are you going??" I replied I using the bathroom and she informed me "toilets are for customers only" I replied in shock and mortified by her loud voice and people looking at me that I just had my breakfast there!!! As I was leaving she approached me to apologise which meant nothing to me, I haven't been in the Brogue Inn since last May where we had a very sizeable dinner party and the service was very slow, I requested after an hours wait could we order the kids food as they were very hungry and were leaving shortly as they were been collected by the Child minder. On this night Fiona Kirby aggressively replied " well ye were late and we are very busy" We were not late I informed her but I understand ye are busy we are happy for adults to wait but the children needed to be fed if they could kindly just take their order? Later Fiona approached me to apologise for her behaviour and offered our table a free round of drinks as an apology which we never got the drinks or would want to be honest. The point is this behaviour from a local business in town to local people is beyond rude. I will most certainly never again be in the Brogue Inn as a customer, Plenty of other lovely welcoming & mannerly places to eat. So upset and appauled, how someone can change your form and day so easily really felt like I was bullied. Choose where you spend your money & time wisely this is just not...

I am giving this restaurant 2 stars because theirs was the best food I have eaten and the WORST service between Kilarney and Tralee Ireland. Its a shame to review so low because the food was so good.

I can't say enough about the leek and potato soup. It was perfection. The rest of the items we ordered were excellent. I highly recommend the food. We self seated in the lounger area when we arrived' good ambiance. Comfortable modern setting.

The service on the other hand was, in short, nonexistent. Our server, a female, was not in the room most of the time and never checked with us about anything during our meal. We had to ask another server to refresh our drinks. We sat for over 20 minutes after finishing our entrees with a table full of dirty dishes. When the server finally reappeared ad started to clear the table, I asked for the dessert menu. Her response was that the kitchen wasn't making dessert anymore. It was too late. I mentioned that we sat for over 20 minutes with a dirty table and she never came to clear it. Had she, I would have given a dessert order earlier when the kitchen was still making desserts. She informed that I "should have got her". Seriously? It was 9 PM.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant/lounge/bar to anyone after this terribly...

Hi Lads,I want to share my opinion about this place.I went for food a few nice times, was always great and tasty. I have nothing to this case ...Today I went for food with my son 😋 yummy as always I had a small bag with me, it was my quick shopping, supplements from pharmacy & shorts from Penneys (small brown Penneys bag)🛍 😒 I ordered the food and completely forget to take the bag from the corner it was just below the till ,we left after eating on the way to the car I said to my son I have to go back because I left my shopping so I turned back .Inside I asked workers and staff about the bag nobody helped me 2 woman asked only 3 diffrent girls and they said they never saw nothing like that around there. disappointed I was can't explain, bag had dissappeared just like that after few mins and lots of workers were around this place and nobody saw nothing?I should've asked about cameras inside but my idea came to my brain too late. I'm not a local person to Tralee, cant come back tomorrow ask again maybe some woman of the staff to help .Please maybe some of you girls & women by any chance could find the things I will appreciate the answer...

We ate here our first night in Tralee, dining upstairs as the bar was full. After completing a 9-day hike of The Dingle Way, we returned for another meal -- this time in the bar. That first meal was fish and chips that could easily have been shared by two people. A huge portion! And our bartender was deftly handling drink and food orders up there, all while making it look easy and being friendly. When we returned and ate in the bar, we were well cared for and my steak was perfectly done. My husband had a pasta dish that he said was delicious, as well. He also started out with a tasty seafood chowder. We hung around as there was a wonderful group of musicians performing at the front of the house. They had the crowd enthralled, and the best part was several older ladies who were singing along every word of nearly every old song. It was hotter than usual weather, so it was also nice to sit out front and watch the sunset.

Yesterday been 5th of September 2025 was my birthday and I decided to treat myself. I found this place close to where I was. I had beef lasagna with inclusive fries, side salad and garlic toasted bread for €21, and a glass of wine for €7 euro. The food was so nice, so I empty my plate🤭here comes the nice part:” I told the waitress to write “Happy Birthday on my Dessert cheesecake” she happily did and I ended up getting the dessert for free. And this should have cost me almost €9. I can’t be thankful enough. Thank you so much team for the hospitality and live music. Together you made my day a magic. And the waitress that worked that evening, I don’t know your name but I promised to give you 5stars over here. You were so nice, always smiling and your patience level is topnotch👌Thank you so much and God bless you all🙏

The food definitely exceeded our expectations, in quantity and quality. The pictures are a testimony. My warm goat cheese and beetroot salad had a generous amount of cheese and nuts. The service was quite efficient, and our young server was knowledgeable (about the food and wine list) and professional. Only complaint: we were forgotten for a long time after we had finished eating. After about 30 minutes, we walked up front and asked a different server to summon our server. Despite a busy dining room, the toilet room was sparkling clean. I take that as a sign that the employees care about details.
