Velo Cafe - Onchan Park — Restaurant in Onchan

Went here for a “quick” lunch. Looks nice inside. It’s not a big place with about ten tables. We ordered a cheese toastie, a kids sausage, chips and beans, side order of chips and a salt & chilli chips. It took absolutely forever to get our lunch though with a 30 minute wait. It seemed like there was only one cook and the rest of the staff were made up of 3 or 4 teenagers who dealt with the ordering, drinks, ice cream etc. You order at the desk and they give you a disc which will buzz when your food/drinks are ready then you go up and collect yourself. After 10 minutes we were buzzed but it ended up nothing was ready and the two servers shrugged their shoulders. Another 20 minutes went by until it was actually ready. The food was good enough, the prices ok but in the end not...

Have been a few times, but it's often not showing correct opening times and has left me with a disappointed toddler on many occasions when Facebook and Google clearly say open until 5pm which is a lie. no post to say changed opening hours, or anything so falsely stating their hours and causing me pain having to explain that to a 3 year old. Incredibly expensive ice creams. My grandchildren chose the smallest and cheapest lollies, but they were more than twice the price of other places we have been to. I will never buy them there again......... daylight robbery. I would rather go to a supermarket and take them with us, then give the rest away, rather than pay...
