Jade Harbour — Restaurant in Peel

Firstly, the not so good. This is not very disabled friendly, as there are steps to go down which I found very hard to do. I think there is an upstairs part to use, but I am not sure about that. I used the disabled toilet and that was full of items like washing up liquid, so it was more of a store room that a usable toilet. However, the food was excellent, the best Chinese we've had on the Isle of Man. The service we received was also very, very, good and we both felt it was good value for money . On balance, we would recommend it to others for the food, service and price and we will be returning to it for those reasons. If I were to just give stars for that then it would be 5, but with the above into account I can only really give it a 4, if they sort out the disabled part of things then...

Got a takeaway, worst chow mein I've ever tasted. Thin noodles clumped together with some kind of translucent sauce on them. Meat was clearly all frozen and of low quality. Ribs were odd, tiny pieces of chopped up cartilage with the smallest bit of meat per piece of cartilage. Chips were nice and the rice was OK. We eat out a lot and own a hospitality business ourselves and are frequently disappointed but the Jade harbour is excellent. Swift service, lovely staff, high quality food. Really, really excellent! We couldn't fault it at all and wouldn't want to. Seriously good with loads of veggie...
