BIRDY SPECIALTY CAFÉ-BAR&KITCHEN — Restaurant in Haifa

Without any doubt, one of the best cafés I know around the world (including Europe and the U.S.).

Coffee, desserts, meals, pastries, beverages - and now also a great selection of wines. Desserts. Desserts. Once again: desserts. Some, like the Metengue roulade, are simply beyond any possible expectation.

With family, friends, or alone - for brunch, lunch or a quick coffee, with or without a laptop - this place surprisingly always feels right.

Another thing I especially like is the coffee part. It’s a specialty coffee shop, and if you’re into it, they’ll offer you different options from different roasters, as specialty cafés do. Believe me, they have a lot to offer. But if you don’t want to think about subtle notes of sunset peach in your cup, they won’t make you feel uncomfortable by expecting you to have strong regional or roast preferences. This balance is something most specialty places...

The honey mustard dressing is indeed light and refreshing. I’ve been eating fish every morning, but the quality thick slices still bring me joy. And the juicy fresh mandarin orange and the crunchy leaves.

Warm stretchy baguette with a hint of olive oil aroma on the crust.

The taste and portion is just perfect for early autumn in Haifa.

Cortado is decent, though a little overshadowed by to wonderful food :) it smells nice, but can be slightly more full-bodied considering it’s already using whole milk. Still a proper “specialty coffee” nonetheless. Latte art is lovely too :)

This place have great potential but unfortunately it's not goto place from my point of view. We have made reservations for table of 4 outside sitting with Katia the host over the phone. When we came to the restaurant there were no available seating, furthermore there was no one to talk to or to let us in. When we addressed the issue to the administration they have provided rude answers like "that what it is". We had to let ourselves in and look for a sitting arrangement. We had to ask 5 times for the menus. The food was above the average and the waitres service during the dinner was bellow the average - they kept forgetting our orders and we had to remind them over and over again. So...if you are looking for rude addituete, bad service but nice location and atmosphere with ok food - this is the place for you. I will definitely never...
