Shemo is one of the top places in my opinion to get a high quality cake or pastry. I bought an extremely tasty cake this weekend for my wife's birthday. It was a cream cake with a caramel top with white chocolate and a walnut base. Very tasty and went great with tea. The cream is of a high quality and very thick and rich.
I also purchased a large croissant (something for the drive back home haha) and i was extremely impressed. It had real substance to it. It wasn't a flakey puff..it really filled me up. The staff is also very helpful and know quite a bit about their products.
Be warned, it is a small place and they are very conscious of the covid rules and will only allow something like 5 or 6 people in at a time and the rest have to stand outside in a line. A good thing though is that they have a staff member periodically check on the people outside to see if they know what they want. If you know what you want they'll go in and get it for you and process the payment outside with you. Very efficient.
Overall, i've never had a bad experience at Shemo and you really do get what...
