I stopped by for a quick sandwich on my way to a hang with friends. The man behind the counter was lovely and had great customer service! I had the Brooklyn special and it's hands down the best sandwich I've had in Jerusalem! (And I've lived here for 5 years now). It was well seasoned, the meat and mustard was clearly good quality, had great fresh bread and the vegetables and pickles had a bite to them and we're soggy like a lot of other places. The price is routine for the truly good quality small places in the area, and unlike some of the tourist traps around you truly get your money's worth (between 50-70 for a big meaty sandwich depending on what you go for).
While I didn't seat down the atmosphere inside was very cozy with warm lighting and lots of plants. The place looked very clean as well, in the front and on the line which due to the sort of open floor plan you can clearly see most of.
The food was so good I had to go back and compliment him! I will 100% be going back and bringing...
Read moreExcellent spot in city center but a little quieter from the main drag. Food is made fresh for you. All the meat sandwiches are delicious, flavorful, and the meats well seasoned without being salty, or spicy. Unless you ask for it. Most recently had the Asado, shwarma, sloppy Georgie. The bread is a perfect sourdough baguette. You can not go wrong! It's also toaster before the sandwich is made to order. I had the chicken salad as well recently (been going for lunch!) The chicken breast is seasoned and grilled to order, served on a fresh salad then dressed with a light flavorful Asian style dressing and sprinkled with chopped peanuts. It's amazing what simple ingredients can achieve. There is always good music playing in the background. There is always home cured olives with your sandwich. Not a big place, but with room to sit comfortably. More busy during actual classic lunchtime. Daily specials as well as wonderful soup. Highly recommend. (Sandwich runs about 50 ILS. Worth it....
Read moreThis place serves food of various sorts, including a meat, vegetarian, side dishes and drinks options. The food is quickly made and is easily packed for take out. Besides those "dry" details, lemme tell you why you really should visit this place! First off, as I entered from the outside of the street inside, I was struck with the smell of the cooking and it's smelled - amazing. I ordered the vegetarian cauliflower with rice option and when it came 5 minutes later, when I took the first spoonful of the dish, I was enlightened. Hands down full chills all over my body. I really, really liked it. Don't take my word for it, go yourself, this place was recommended to me by my friend moody with whom I went, and by many many other because this place has been open for a while but it don't get fresher than the food served here. Deeply recommend this place, English speakers - they...
