I’ve known this place since the year 2000, when I was 16 and in high school. Back then it was a small corner coffee shop, the kind of place where my best friend and I would sit for hours on cozy winter nights, talking about everything and nothing.
Amit, who now owns the place, was already there back then. He started working at 15 and has been with it ever since—30 years now! He has always been kind & welcoming, and that has not changed at all! Over the years, I was in and out of Jerusalem and didn’t go there as often. But I was there yesterday, saw Amit again, and it was honestly great. The place has changed a lot—expanded into a full restaurant with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, a performance hall for live music and stand-up, and a lovely gallery space for browsing and shopping.

Nocturno is as vegan as it gets (in Jerusalem, at least) - plenty of vegan dishes (with lots of gluten free options), all were very tasty (and we've tasted quite a few) and even the less vegan family members found something to order... They were kind enough to squeeze us all in even though seats were reserved with a short notice, and had everything ready for us exactly as ordered and on time. Prices are very reasonable, everything considered. Would definitely be my first choice when looking for a vegan place to eat in Jerusalem from now on. Thank you for a successful family...
Read moreSo many vegan choices! If you're vegan and miss cheesy goodness, try the sweet potato feta sandwich. It was heavenly. The service was unbelievable as well, especially when compared to similar establishments in Jerusalem. The double espresso was good too. The spiked apple cider (w/ rum) was quite strong though... Which could be good if you're into that sort of thing. Lastly, if you're looking for a gooey delicious heavenly treat, I highly recommend the pecan pie for dessert. It melted my face off my head in the best way possible. I will be back at Nocturno as soon as I can. Maybe even tomorrow. Need more pie ASAP. Thanks for listening....
