Afloka אפלוקה - מסעדת דגים ביפו — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

Not a friendly owner, we reserved a table for two people for Ramadan Iftar and of course we drove from Jerusalem to Jaffa. On our way we saw there was a bit of traffic so we called the restaurant and informed them we are running late a bit due to traffic. When we arrived (late 10 minutes due to traffic) the owner said you are late and we have no table for you and he said it in the most disgusting way could be! Well, me and my wife called to inform them as well we were late only 10 mins! Things happens I guess!! On top of everything we were both fasting. Zero customer service and awful owner that couldn’t accommodate us even though we were extremely nice to him! Save your money and go somewhere else! The old man & the sea right across with better service, no reservation and they took us in!

Amazing place, I have been a customer since almost they started their business, they never failed me with food & service wise, actually every time I visit there is an improvement going on, a group of brothers running the place and always one of them is there to take care of the customers, very respectful and helpful.

Food wise, they have the best fresh fish you can find in the city & with every fish meal you got a variant collection of salads along with falafel and fresh made hot delicious bread.

I highly recommend this place for someone that is looking for a unique fish & seafood...

Incredible hospitality and delicious food. After 6 days in Tel Aviv this was the rare perl and the best restaurant we have tried. Really characteristic atmosphere combined with great food quality (we tried fish). Really recommend. I suggest to try the fried seafood with their amazing yellow sauce made by butter, white wine and some secret ingredients (they didn't want to share 😁😁). This is the first place I will visit as soon as I come back...
