Hummus Asli — Restaurant in Tel-Aviv

What a wonderful restaurant! I just love coming here, every visit is wonderful and satisfying.

My friends and I were welcomed with the nicest "Ahalan WaSahala" and got a table under beautiful curvy old ceilings.

After choosing from the various options on the menu, the waiter started to fill the table. Every minute there was something else coming, until there was no room left.

We had the Kebab, the liver and the spring chicken. All main dishes came with fries. Aside from that we had Hummus plates with Pitas, roasted eggplant with tahini and almonds, falafel and a bunch of small plates that filled the table everywhere.

When we couldn't have another bite, the table was cleared in no time and we got small glasses of hot Turkish coffee with cardamom and sweet Baklawas.

Prices are low, everything is fresh and tasty. The service is impeccable and the people are warm and friendly.

I would give more stars if I could. I was a bit scary not gonna lie to venture into Jaffa alone with a beach outfit as you immediately noticed the change from Miami looking Tel Aviv but the restaurant was worth the visit. Incredibly clean, friendly and the food so fresh and tasty. The tribute to past family members in the wall was so charming. The cooks and serves treated each other like family. Now, the price of the food was also great, the server was kind enough to just make a discount on me without even asking but I ended giving a tip and paying full price, this place deserves it. Good humous, reasonable prices (We had a humous meal for 2 including chips, falafel, salad and drinks for 85 NIS). Service is good. Pros: Open on Saturdays & Jewish holidays, unlike Abu Hassan. Inexpensive, welcoming and pretty spacious, even with a stroller. There are 2 dining halls one oposit the other. Parking is not hard to find. Cons: Inconsistency in quality and generosity. Sometimes you'd get some vegetables & pickles alongside your order, today it was just onion. The whole presentation felt pretty poor. And the humous was OK but nothing to wrote home about.
