Review of Island Breeze Jamaican Grill
If you’re looking for a true taste of Jamaica, Island Breeze Jamaican Grill is the place to be. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the tantalizing aroma of spices that transport you straight to the Caribbean.
The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned, smoky, and tender, with just the right amount of heat. Their oxtail stew is rich, savory, and melts in your mouth, while the ackee and saltfish is as authentic as it gets. And don’t even get me started on the festival bread and rice and peas—absolutely delicious!
The portions are generous, and every dish bursts with flavor, clearly made with love and tradition. They even cater to vegetarians, with options like the hearty callaloo and flavorful vegan curry chickpeas.
The ambiance is vibrant yet laid-back, with reggae music playing softly in the background and colorful decor that embodies the island spirit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to recommend dishes and share the stories behind them.
What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail and commitment to quality. Every visit feels like a celebration of Jamaican culture and cuisine.

Read moreI give it three stars due to successful marketing. Not because the food is worth it.
I had the “Rasta pasta, and Jerk Chicken”. Its funny to me, how other reviews stated an “authentic” Caribbean taste. It was far from that. I’m pretty sure if you visited any restaurant from the Caribbean, you’d find the taste to be delicious, while their food lacked taste in many ways. The food was bland, the restaurant was over hyped, service is slow. Waiter mentioned that they’ve been working for only a week, and it showed in their lack of service. They did a good job selling the lingo, however they fell short in their execution. I’d challenge anyone who thinks this restaurant is good/has a traditional Caribbean/afro taste to eat in any similar styled restaurant in the UK, or Brooklyn. The food there is actually tasteful, and can claim to be...
Read moreThe food is good. Only 5 pieces of plantain come w the picco de gallo and there was more pico than plantains. 3 of us shared it and when I asked if maybe we could have a few more plantains to finish the delicious pico de gallo, we were told it wasn't possible. I understand they're new too, but service could improve. The main dishes did not all come out at once or even near each other so while 2 of us had our dinner, it was awkward that one of us was waiting a while. On the pricier side as well. I would still give it a chance and go back since truly the food is good, but maybe give them time to work out some...
