Very good food but we left thinking we will never return. Our waitress was very pushy and rude, and just wouldn't stop forcing us to order things we did not want. She was selling us dishes in a very aggressive way, adding items to our order without waiting for our approval. Later when ordering wine I knew what kind and brand of wine I wanted but did not remember the name of it. When asking for it from the waitress, she ignored everything I described and pushed for a wine that was much more expensive. Moreover, I described it as red wine and she kept pushing for the white wine (!!!). It was ridiculous. I knew what I wanted but clearly it was more important for her to make our dinner as expensive as possible so her tip will be as big. She kept insisting to the point I told her I would think about it and had to ask a different waiter who was passing by, because I felt uncomfortable repeating to her which glass of wine I want. The dishes started to arrive one by one, and every single one was AMAZING. It was like a show of flavors and textures mixing together in the perfect timing and order. We have never experienced something like this. I felt like Ratatouille in the movie when he tastes cheese and has fireworks all around him 😅. It was something else. The menu is built in such a genius way from lighter dishes to more strong and complex flavors. Yuval Ben Neriah is indeed a culinary genius. But again through the whole evening, the waitress kept interrupting our conversations, and being rude. One time she brutally interrupted us, but then left forgetting what she wanted to say. There was one dish we didn't like (the Massaman), and kindly asked to return. From that point she got even worse. She started giving us attitude, kept asking what was wrong with the dish although we said we just didn't like it, to the point where we felt ashamed for even mentioning it. At the end of the evening, we tipped her 12 percent because she was really rude and ruined the atmosphere for us, and she just threw the bill back at us as if we offended her. Even though the food was above and beyond everything we ever experienced, we really left with a bad feeling just because of her. We expected from this restaurant great things because of the waiting list and high prices. If the food wasn't as good as it was, it would have been a 2-3 stars max.

Expensive resturant and small food like any high class resturant, but the atmosphere was different. The restaurant was loud and not very pleasant. The restaurant was really dark inside, so if you relies on taking a photos, you gonna use the flash all the time which makes it annoying for the people around you. The menu was hard to understand, we couldn't understand anything without the waitress help. The service wasn't great for such resturant, we found ourself looking for the waitress every time and she never was around to hear us. (For what i saw in the resturant, if we had other waitress the service could be better) Finally we ordered nice small dishes which was really tasty and most of all beautifully decorated. There is no doubt they know how to make thier food. When we ordered the desert we surprised to get a big desert (unlike the other dishes). The desert was the most beautiful dish i have ever seen, it was a perfect decorated and exact match for the name of the dish. Over all the resturant was great, but this type of resturants is not my type. The big dislike for me was the weird atmosphere.

Bottom line at the top of the review - Superb experience. We went there for a special Pakistani themed dinner, last of 4 such evenings. The food being great at Taizu is something we've already come to expect, but what surprised us was how they thought about every little thing of the experience to make it unique and authentic. The whole placed changed its shape and feeling. They gave special pins with the special logo of the themed events, had special balloons all over, the music was of course compatible, all employees wore special clothes (it must have been really fun for them to be a part of such an experience), the tea cups were unique, some plates were unique, etc.... they really thought of every detail. And the food, obviously amazing. But not just that. We were also surprised that the fixed menu had so many dishes in it, each unique, and each really, but really good. To my view it was a concept perfectly executed. We had the best time, and I only wish more events like these would take place, and more places would follow up.

We were lucky to get a table for 2 without a reservation, but I would definitely recommend to book a table in advance. This place was packed and for very good reasons. The decor and vibe make this a bustling place for both locals and travelers. Service was very professional, but in a relaxed way which makes you feel welcomed. The menu is divided in certain themes and they recommend you try something from every theme. We gladly took the suggestion to turn this into a tasting menu where they will bring a selection of different dishes. The food is fantastic and is a great mix between Eastern influences combined with local cuisine. Try the pairing with one of their sakes, served in a chilled carafe, well worth it. We liked every single plate coming out from the kitchen and are happy to have been here.

A great experience for Asian cuisine lovers. We really enjoyed a Sauterday lunch at Taizu. The Sauterday lunch menu is really nice, for 155 NIS you get 3 course meal. The starters were really special, first and main courses were great too. We had the Fish Tartar and the Har-Gau for starters and we just wanted the whole meal to be of these two dishes. The first and main courses were more traditional Indian style. There are no too many options for dessert, we tried the Black Forest and I usually not a fan of Chocolate dersts but this was really great. It was a hot day outside so we also tried few of their cocktails and they were really nice - tasty and refreshing. Be aware boys the Ginger Gin is a very girly one. The team were really nice and attentive to our questions and requests.

Taizu is a very special chef restaurant. The food was really really good and they had some great vegan options there. The prices are super high though so take that into consideration. You can get a full vegan meal there if you wish, entree, main course and dessert, but usually you share your meal there with others at the table so you can get to taste many different dishes. Overall the food was incredible.. the service on the other hand was so so.. since we had a new dish suggested and it was not even edible and when we complained about it we were told “you do not have to like every dish it’s ok” and no one suggested making it up to us, and the dish price was 78 shekels. Anyway good restaurant, would recommend but just giving you my full experience.
