Don’t go this restaurant. I went with a group to this restaurant and we waited over three hours for pizzas - we only had these served at 10:40pm. The restaurant did not serve us bread but charged us for it as part of the “cover charge”. We also ordered four bottles of the house wine and they served us 26 euro wine (most house wine in Sicily is between 6-8 euro a litre!). This resulted in an absolutely outrageous bill of over 200 euros. When we raised our concerns with the staff, they said that 26 euro wine was their “house wine”, which was clearly an attempt to rinse foreigners. Premetto: cibo indubbiamente di qualita’. Abbiamo pero’ pagato 108 euro in due per due birre, “un antipasto misto”e due trancetti di pesce fresco di giornata, sembra un’esagerazione per un martedi’ ad Acicastello, persino a New York ho sempre pagato meno… Siamo arrivati ed abbiamo chiesto un “antipasto misto”, che era tipico della vecchia gestione,della quale ero un cliente abituale. Il primo cameriere prende nota e va via, il secondo cameriere prende nota fa qualche domanda generica e va via anche lui, poco dopo si presenta invece una donna, il manager o piu’ probabilmente la proprietaria in persona. Per un antipasto misto si scomoda il manager? Davvero? Insolito direi… Ci tempesta di domande ,sembrava volesse venderci il mare Ionio… Si capisce che non hanno un antipasto misto nel menu e che la manager stessa lo sta construendo su misura per noi. Cominciano ad arrivare le portate di questo benedetto antipasto, buone per carita’ ma troppe, i camerieri riempiono il tavolo di pietanze e non ci danno quasi il tempo di finire, tirando via i piatti di fretta per servirne altri. Dopo svariate vivande , saporite, ma che non siamo riusciti a gustare a fondo per la premura dei camerieri di sparecchiare, il garguantesco “antipasto” era finito ed e’ arrivato il piatto principale. Due trancetti di capone fresco di giornata, buono veramente, ma misero nella quantita’, guardando lo scontrino avremmo in seguito tristemente realizzato come fosse stato prezzato per un kilo o quasi di pesce. Il diametro dei due tranci non sembrava avere molto a che fare con la minuta testolina di pesce che c’era sul piatto, il pescato fresco andrebbe mostrato ai clienti per intero prima della cottura dando modo all’ospite di valutarne freschezza e peso. Siamo andati via con un centone in meno, e l’amara impressione che l’antipasto non fosse altro che una lunga lista di piatti a prezzo pieno maliziosamente messa insieme per arrivare alle oltre cento euro del conto finale. In definitiva diamo una stella per trasparenza e correttezza e quattro stelle abbondanti per la qualita’. Alla cara signora manager Se un cliente chiede un antipasto misto non significa che vuole 8 antipasti a prezzo pieno, lo tenga presente...

We sat there and waited 20 min for them to clean our table and then we waited 30 more min to take our order. After an hour we went to the kitchen hungry to realize they were just starting to prepare our meals. Around 10 min later they brought in 2 pizzas that werent that bad. But then after 10 more they brought overpriced fried squid in a tiny portion. While writing they still havent brought the rest of the food. I continue the review now that we are finished. The first clam i opened in my meal was full with dirt and my spaghetti was tasteless , overpriced and the portion was small. We were also cold the whole time.
