Ristorante Scacco Matto — Restaurant in Aci Castello

Apparentely unpretentious but relatively expensive little restaurant. Less than half a glass of an unspecified wine... 7 euros. Portions are not generous, for a dish of pasta we are around 16 - 22 euros. Average quality perhaps. Service is fine, but waits too long and the waiter gets lost in chatter and useless formalisms. Calling anyone a "doctor" is not professional at all but, actually, it denotes provincialism. People go to restaurants to eat and feel at ease, not to be "pleased" the entire time with unrelated nonsense. Absolute disgrace, the worst pizza in Italy and probably whole Europe.

When waiters brought me that thing, I thought she will spill it on me. Yes the pizza was swimming in water on the plate.

Ristorante Sacco Matti, didn’t provide me any scuba diving suit, nor any training for underwater activities. Total disappointment. Just avoid this place at any cost. And yeah, regarding the pricing. It was one of the most expensive pizza in whole Sicily, and I was in every major city on the island.

Absolute scandal. I won’t even mention about stomach problems.

The only good thing was...

Wow wow wow…our best meal in Sicily! Bumped into this place by accident on our way to another restaurant…such a lucky accident!!!!Children ordered boring pizza but they said it was the best pizza they had, and we ordered the sea food cous cous…oh my god…so so tasty! Coming with some fish stock on the side and bread to do”la scarpina”…the flavour was out of this world.
