Vulcanica Pizzeria — Restaurant in Acireale

We loved eating at Vulcanica Pizzeria. This is a fancy pizzeria. Very high end! You should make a reservation bc they may not be able to accommodate. The food was fantastic. We ordered the caponata as an appetizer. It wasn’t the typical tangy tomato-y caponata found in the USA. It was flavorful and delicious. It had all the Sicilian flavors and was absolutely delicious. The pizza crust was light, tender yet crunchy. The pizza did not need salt or any other condiments. It tasted perfect. We ordered a gin and tonic. The gin was top shelf and the tonic water our favorite brand - fever tree. Everything at this restaurant is top shelf. Our server was Daniele. He was very helpful and even spoke English. This is a place many locals go to. It is always packed but well worth the trip if you are visiting in the Catania...

This is by far the best pizza we've ever had in our life. The ingredients were very fresh and the dough was incredibly fluffy, light but with the right crunch. Service was fantastic and the servers were incredibly warm. The terrace was quite nice, though small, it had its own charm with background music. We had the pistachio explosion pizza, the Norma pizza and the margarita a colori. We weren't expecting much of the margarita, since it is always considered one of the more "boring and bland" pizzas, but it was absolutely delicious. The tomatoes were so incredibly sweet. Even before we sat down, we were told that we would have to leave soon because they were expecting more people. In the end, no one came! The pizzas we ordered were of very low quality; they used store-bought tuna purée and store-bought capers. The only fresh ingredient on the pizza was the basil. The dough was decent. The service is beyond criticism. The owner goes from table to table, to corrupt the clients begging customers to write positive reviews on Google, offering them free pizza. Many of those positive reviews are corrupted by the owner or sell them for free pizza.. I do not...
