we celebrated a big (21st) birthday here in fine style. sit in a sheltered walled courtyard with vines overhead. Stellar menu, short in items but high in quality. Try the "fassana" -- traditional Piedmontese beef - either as a tartare or cooked or as a "white" (no tomato) ragout with green pasta. Eleven of us shared a big table at La Logia on a busy Saturday night, 18th Sept. We were a mixed bunch of English and Italian. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very traditional and the food excellent. A perfect balance of conversation and laughter. The waiting staff looked after us very well and spoke good english which saved our Italian friends translating everything. The food was all delicious and inspired by local specialities. Bello il locale, sia all'interno che all'esterno, invitante la proposta che si trova nel menù anche con piatti tipici, peccato che poi i piatti lascino un po' a desiderare. Materia prima buona ma mal lavorata; questo l'ho riscontrato in diversi piatti. Le raviole pessime, troppo cotte e collose, con una forchettata rimanevano attaccate tutte insieme. Le porzioni piuttosto limitate. Tempi di attesa un po' lunghi (c'erano solo tre tavoli). Cameriera impreparata: alla richiesta di cosa ci fosse di contorno ha risposto che dipende da cosa propone la cucina quel giorno...(ok ma lo deve sapere la ragazza).Chiedo di informarsi, torna a riferirmi, scelgo, e poi nel piatto mi ritrovo un contorno diverso. Nulla di trascendentale, per carità, ma in un locale di quel tipo anche no. Non ho pagato io quindi non posso commentare i prezzi, ma dal menù mi sembravano un tantino più cari del normale, ma dato il periodo ci può stare.
