Outstanding restaurant. We arrived here from the Valley of the Temples without a reservation on a Sunday. The Matrede found us a small table and was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and the best food I've eaten in Sicily, I had the Pork rib and my partner had a Carbonara. I then had the chocolate cake with ice-cream for desert and this may just be the best desert I've ever eaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough but please book in advance. Wow. Cosa cerchi,o meglio cosa ti aspetti, quando vai in un posto del genere in una città del genere con quel tipo di bellezza e con quella storia? Io mi aspettavo questo locale, stupendo fuori ,altrettanto dentro e con quel panorama sulla valle dei templi la sera e in più il mare di giorno. Locale nuovo, pulito e curatissimo fin nei minimi particolari, cene sono da scoprire. La cucina rispecchia il territorio la tradizione? Piacevolmente NI non manca la tradizione e la territorialità però c'è anche qualche rivisitazione continentale che vale la pena,anche questa, scoprire. Unica nota appena stonata il servizio, Accademico per quanto riguarda l'entrata l'uscita e l'ordine del servizio a tavola. Stop e precedenze vengono rispettate ma........ Non si può chiedere l'acqua 4 volte anche perché già alla seconda volta il cliente ha fatto notare che è passato del tempo dalla prima richiesta figuriamoci alla terza quarta.... Ma questo non è un errore dei camerieri ma della direzione che ha impiegato troppe risorse ma senza un maître di sala, o almeno non mi è sembrato ci fosse. Io non rinuncerei al maître e ridurrei i camerieri. Qui non si corre il rischio di non essere serviti per la scarsità ma per l'eccesso. Chiudo questa parentesi perché il ristorante la direzione la cucina e anche il servizio meritano moltissimo per l'impegno e per il risultato che si portano a casa a fine serata. I piatti sono squisiti, i dessert a livello e in alcuni casi quasi superiori,il caffè alla fine è proprio quello che non ti aspetti ma in senso positivo. Tante tantissime piacevoli sorprese qui all'akropolis...

I expected More Based on Reviews

My husband and I were very disappointed.

Despite positive reviews, our dishes were cold with congealed sauces( the mushroom piles looked like animal droppings!), and service was unfriendly. The nearly empty restaurant didn’t help the atmosphere. The redeeming qualities were the view and a good wine list.

However, paying over $100 for two dishes and wine for two didn't feel worth it given the food and service quality.
