Okay, this was a bad decision, the restaurant looks very fancy, in pictures and in real life. And it is a very pretty restaurant in a very nice location, with views of the sea. Judging by the reviews here on Google I thought it would be an easy pick, boy was I wrong. Let's start with the starters (antipasti). We went for a selection of local foods. We were served, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, some kind of mozzerella, meat and a couple unrecognizable things. I guess with local the restaurant means " local from the supermarket around the corner ". It tasted like it came straight out of a can, the only two dished that were heated tasted like they already been heated before. For the main course (and I think we went wrong here and should have ordered a pizza, as they looked half decent). We had a tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and so called "guanciale" * for those of you that don't know guanciale, this is a very typical meat from Italy, it is derived from the cheek of a pig and therefore has a very distinguished taste. It's a flavor I've come to love and recognize ever since I first had it. They ensured me they put guanciale in it but... you guessed it, that was not guanciale. It would probably be pancetta, guanciale's cheaper brother. Second disappointment of the evening. That was until my dish arrived. The mixed grill. The meat was overcooked and therefore dry and chewy. Like I said before, uninspired. The only flavor there was came from the grease that had been substituted for other dished as well. Like i said in the beginning. Maybe we should have gone for a pizza but in the end we didn't. Disappointed and not full we left the restaurant right after we went for the bill ourselves. Because after they feed you, you are not important anymore. The portions were big so that's kind of a positive thing.

Located on the Main Street where people gather in the evenings to promenade. Romantic atmosphere under the trees outside for this evening’s meal in October. Wonderful large glass of white wine, waiter’s choice, delicious. Fresh bread and a type of pretzels to snack on before the meal. Started off with a primo piatto of lobster linguine and a salad, as I’m not very hungry. Absolutely delicious! Price of 20 euros for this plate. Desert later on was also wonderful. I chose a desert of the house of Limone & Zenzero (lemon and ginger) which is a rare combination to find anywhere. Very good service. Prices are just for the quality of food and quantity on the plate. Just the pasta plate filled me up. I would love to eat here again! The place is right on the street, so it is handicapped friendly with an easy drop off the then park. Best to get a reservation on a Saturday evening, though we didn’t have one arriving before true main crowd. At 9:00 PM, all of the tables were full with many of them having reservation signs already on the tables.

We had a dinner with my daughter in this restaurant since it was very close to our hotel. At first I was very sceptical with quite a few negative comments and the owners response to these comments. However our experience was very positive. The food was very delicious and the attitude of the waiters was very friendly. The gentleman who is taking orders was very formal and serious but this is not a negative thing, it means he is performing his job seriously.

Forse ho fatto male a darle ascolto!
