What a wonderful experiece we had at Nuccio. The occaision was a celebration of a significant birthday, organised at the last minute due to changed travel plans. Firstly the team were very helpful in finding a table for us the day before when they were already fully booked for Sunday lunch service. Many people had recomemdated this place as the best restaurant in Agrigento and it didn't dissappoint. The food was delicious - tasty and well presented. The recomended wine was perfect. But above all it was the hospitality that made the biggest impact. Sergio our waiter was warm and attentive and foccussed on helping us fully enjoy the experience. And the owners whose skill in the kitchen and accommodating service ensured it was the pefect birthday celebration. Can't speak highly enough about the whole experience. This restaurant should be on your "must do" list when you are in Agrigento.

Despite being a foodie, I don’t often post photos of my meals (not least because the food doesn’t last long enough on my plate to take a photo). However, our meal at Ristorante Nuccio in Piazza Cavour in Agrigento (even the placenames are beautiful) was such an exceptional experience, it deserves to be celebrated. Antipasti: prawn wrapped in kataifi filo with vegetable caponata; and parmigiana di melanzane with swordfish and tuna (a little masterpiece that they refused to take credit for because it is a typical Sicilian dish). Primi: Homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and pistachios. Secondi: Lamb chops cooked in the oven with Marsala wine and topped with pistachios. Contorni: Grilled vegetables. Even Mr Sweet-tooth was too full for dessert. The service was beyond charming and professional, and the prices incredibly reasonable for such a quality experience. Bravi!!

We came here after reading, Google reviews, and even with the extraordinary reviews, it surpassed our expectations. We were graciously assisted by Sergio. He is beyond amazing and helpful. With the fact that we are ignorant in regards to our Italian, we were impressed with his English, which of course was so helpful. Every recommendation he provided was fabulous. The wine list was wonderful and amazingly well priced, the ambience was beautiful and the food was perfect. Thank you, Sergio for such fabulous experience.

Squisito!" – The Best Meal in Three Weeks in Sicily**

During a recent three-week culinary journey through Sicily, where every meal was a pleasure, one evening stood out as the absolute pinnacle of our trip: our dinner at Ristorante Nuccio in Agrigento. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. We were incredibly fortunate to secure the last available table, a stroke of luck that led to an unforgettable dining experience.

Our host for the evening was Sergio, a man who embodies the very best of Sicilian hospitality. He is not only effortlessly charming but possesses a profound and infectious passion for the region's food and wine. His guidance was instrumental, transforming a great meal into an exceptional one. He didn't just serve us; he curated our evening with an expert's touch, making us feel both welcomed and enlightened.

The food itself was simply exquisite, or as the Italians say, "squisito." We began with a raw fish plate that was a masterclass in freshness and flavor. I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively, including many trips to Japan, a country renowned for its raw seafood. I can say, without any hesitation, that the raw prawns on that plate were the single best I have ever eaten in my life. They were unbelievably sweet and delicate—a true testament to the quality of the local catch and the chef's reverence for ingredients.

Following that stunning start, the excellence continued. My partner was delighted with a house pasta special that was both comforting and refined, showcasing the kitchen's skill with classic Sicilian flavors. I opted for the seared tuna, which was cooked to perfection—wonderfully fresh with a beautiful texture that melted in the mouth.

The entire evening at Nuccio was delightful from start to finish. In a land where good food is the standard, Nuccio operates on a higher plane. It was, without a doubt, the finest meal of our entire Sicilian adventure. If you are in Agrigento, do not miss the opportunity to dine here. It is an experience to be savored...

100\100 We’ve traveled all around Sicily and dined at dozens of top-rated restaurants — but none compare to this one. Everything here came together perfectly. The menu is phenomenally flawless, and every single dish is exquisitely delicious. The ingredients are nothing short of royal — of the highest, most carefully selected quality. Everything is genuinely local, seasonal, and the very best, showcasing the full spectrum of rich, vibrant flavors. Seafood, fish, meat dishes, vegetables, berries, wines — everything was outstanding.

Our only regret was discovering this place right before our departure, meaning it’ll be a while before we can return.

The service deserves special praise. Sergio anticipated our every need, knew every detail of each dish inside and out, and offered impeccable presentation with thoughtful attention to our comfort. Everything was served quickly yet gracefully, with no rush or fuss.

The indoor dining room is charmingly decorated, adding to the experience. We absolutely fell in love with this place! If you see on Google that it's already closed — give them a call! Sometimes they stay open a bit longer, and you...

My boyfriend and I travel a lot. We've been to many restaurants, but Nuccio is definitely one of the best we've been to. The food and service are outstanding! We had a starter made with beef. I am Brazilian, therefore extremely picky with beef, but I have to say the quality was very high, even better than what we find in Brazil. The main dishes also made with beef were delicious. The Aperol was made with excellence, and not watery like we find in so many places. The tiramisu was also out of this world.

Now I wanted to highlight the service provided by Sergio. He was super welcoming, even though we got there quite early when the restaurant had just opened. Sergio was a great advisor of the dishes, and also very friendly and professional. We can see he puts passion and effort in his work, which is sometimes rare to find.

Make sure to tip him well because he provides a really outstanding experience. I hope the restaurant really values his workers, because Sergio is one of a kind. Thanks for the experience and I hope to come...
