Ristorante Ruga Reali, Osteria del Teatro — Restaurant in Agrigento

Worst and most expensive food i ever ate the fish of the day was tasteless regardless if its fresh or not. 0 spices on the fish so you just eat to fill your stomach thats all if you like to eat tasteless fishes this way then you can ignore my review. The bill for 4 persons we payed was 184€ so you can have an idea. The only reason i gave 2 stars is because the appetisers of 4 filled fish was very good and the Tiramisu dessert was very good as well. Main course was sooo so tasteless. I would definitely recommend you to avoid this restaurent plus is not even in the city center its in a corner we were the only ones in this restaurent terrace was closed while other restaurent around city center were full of people and terrace are open this was about 9pm the only reason we went to this restaurent because it was mentioned in a traveling book as 1€ Restaurant which means is not very expensive. Plus the reviews were saying it has good food i wanted to eat fish on the island before our last day i come from the middle east from Tunisia and my home town is on the sea “Nabeul, Hammamet” may u know it already so i know what a good fish should taste like. I was Very very disappointed...

Excellent food, we only had issues with the service. I went with my family, a group of 6 people to dine in. Started with a mix of ham, sausages, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. It was delicious! Following the starters, we ordered our main dishes, which were the primo piatto "paccheri", "Parpadelle al ragù of black pig", and also the Fish of the day (shared by 3). All of them had incredible flavours and tasted really good! Together with this, we had also 3 bottles of really good Sicilian wines...!

The only problem we had was mainly with one of the orders that apparently got delayed/forgotten somewhere in the kitchen. . Also, it is worth mentioning that when it was time to pay, credit card was not working (???) and it took a while to process the payment. For some moment I didn't feel safe to use my credit/debit card in this place. Maybe it's better to be prepared to pay in...

5/5 in everything!! the starter with the fish was so simple and yet so tastefull ( could have been at a lower price comparing in quantity). We tried the pasta alle vongole, the one with the mussels but the star-plate was the shrimp pistacchio spaghetti. I cound never imagine shrimp with pistacchio (maybe sicilian cuisine combines lost of dishes with different nuts) it was truly a 5/5 exprerience, a quiet place in a back alley, very romantic! the wine list is great, but also the staff was very kind, helpfull, and elegant with their moves! comparing to other places this city has to offer, which are ver disappointing, this one stands out and deserves the 4.5 on google reviews. mind you it is not a 10 euro per person, but it is an elegant restaurant with great menu and...
