La Piccola Cucina Alghero — Restaurant in Alghero

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you speak Italian. The service was awful.

I’d like to think the problem was just that the waitstaff needs training. However, I think it’s more than that because the waiter and waitress in our section ignored us and an Asian couple for over 45 minutes while all the other tables (who came in much later but all spoke Italian) were helped immediately, put in their orders and got their drinks, bread, etc.

When the waitress (A——) finally stopped by, she didn’t greet us or apologize for taking so long. She took our complete order and walked away. No smile, no eye contact. After that, she never came back again. I had to flag her down for bread and the check and she was barely civil.

I will say that the bartender and the woman bussing tables were both pleasant and helpful.

The reviews for this place are really good so I’m hoping this was just an off day for the waitstaff and that it’s not...

Our experience at the restaurant was overall wonderful and lived up to our expectations. From the very beginning, the service stood out—attentive, friendly, and professional, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening.

At first, we were a little unhappy with the table we were given, as it was right next to the kitchen and felt quite loud and hectic. However, the staff handled our request to move with such kindness and efficiency that it immediately put us at ease and set the tone for a relaxed evening.

The food was excellent from start to finish. Every dish, from the starter through to dessert, was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. You could really tell that great care went into the presentation as well as the taste.

All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and we left with the best impression. We would definitely come back and look forward to trying more dishes on the...

We live in Alghero and foodie to the extreme. Our favourite restaurant Il Corallo closed for business and after reading reviews La Piccola Cucina, we decided to give it a try… they have 3 dynamic men in the kitchen and the super efficient girl that takes the order and makes sure the needs of the client are attended to with such grace and prompt though she is crazy busy. The food was excellent from the raw appetiser to the suggested dish of the day. So much passion is put in the prep of the food …. Diversifyingly innovative we just love it… when asked for spicy oil… one of the chef gave me Harbanero oil…. Which was so distinctly with prominent taste 👅.Since we are residence we will definately come again…..
