The tour was quite nice. It’s kind of like a field trip. You’re accompanied by professionals who are out there collecting data and doing research while bringing you along for the ride, which is neat. We didn’t see any dolphins but not a big deal … they do their best and you can tell they try extremely hard not only to care for the dolphins, the water and the ecosystem but everyone on board. The snorkeling was fun! It’s nice to have a professional actually get in the water with you, dive and show you the way. Super neat. From the dock, it took about an hour to get to the other side of Capo Caccia, which offers some incredible views of the rock from the boat. We then returned the other direction to the snorkeling spot which was about another hour. The downside is exactly that … 2 hours of cruising in the boat not doing much, but it’s nice to get out on the water anyhow. Then you snorkel, then you return. It felt like a snorkel trip more than anything. Like I said, the staff were great, the boat is great, I just can’t give it more than a 3/5. Overall it’s a pass, but it didn’t blow me away. If you’re on the fence however, give it a try! 60€ is not a lot for 4 hours on the water + everything else. Thank you!

Part of the reason I wanted to visit Alghero was due to Progetto Natura's dolphin tours. We had a fantastic morning with Progetto Natura, we saw Poldo the dolphin and also a manta ray (the first of the year). The genuine care towards both customers and creatures was fantastic. The staff were excellent and it was great to learn more about their important work in Alghero and beyond. The snorkelling was also an excellent opportunity to understand more about the beautiful Mediterranean sea. Overall, the best part of our holiday was our time spent with Progetto Natura. 10/10. Thanks so much to the wonderful staff who are a credit to both their organisation and marine biology as a whole.

Consigliatissimo.

Booked a trip with them through getyourguide with few days in advance but the session DID NOT HAPPEN

They said that the second boat planned in the afternoon was not occupied even they could split the people between boats to meet minimum persons on each but of course that would cost them money, so the cheap way to do it was canceled last minute, with the option for us to participate to other time or refund.

What they did was not ok . They ruined our vacation day for us because of greed. You need to planned everything in advance ( tours, beach visits, etc) exactly like here and we were left in the last day of our trip with nothing to do. And the reimbursement will come but it will not come instant so you cannot spend it that day on what you want and it will not cover the fees , and of course if it was our fault we would paid some penalty but not the same for companies.

We even tried to go there maybe we got some luck to embark in the first boat but the guide said it was full, arbitrarily of course. ( i said that because even if the guide was polite he earlier mentioned that he already canceled us in the morning so even if there was room on the boat we weren’t paying customer anymore, so no need to bother much)

In the end the moral is that they are not here to offer us memorable experience for a cost ,they are here just for the money, they will always came with sorry’s and excuses and their legal ways to back out , but you in the end will pay the price and lose .

In the getyourguide app YOU CANNOT REVIEW this type of cancelation so we cannot know how many there are so be sure to take into consideration when you...

It was a wonderful and very touching experience. Dolphins have always fascinated me and, in fact, by accident I found the best opportunity to fulfill my dream to see them. It was remarkable, and it was great to observe the sincere joy and passion the crew had for their research. It was a pleasure to see them at work, to hear a lot of interesting information about these beautiful creatures. I really appreciate spreading information on nature conservation and raising awareness of harmful and harmless practices. Just watching the dolphins will remain in my memory for a long time, I recreate in my head the moment when they came to the boat, curious about our presence. I would recommend it to everyone, it's the best thing you can do in Alghero and one of the best things you can do in your life in general. Worth every penny. Thank you to the whole team for this unique experience, especially to my crew: Fabio, Nikol and Daisy. Snorkeling at the end was just the icing on the cake, a very pleasant and relaxing experience, Fabio is a great guide. I wish you all the best and good luck with your research, you are truly...
