La Rosa dei Venti Porto Cervo — Restaurant in Alzachèna/Arzachena

Considering we booked late at night (22:30) and we were desperate to find a place open (with reasonable prices) then I must say we were totally successful.

Is mainly a terrace restaurant overseeing all the bay: at day time the view must be amazing ( but I'm afraid it can be pretty hot) and at night you can not see too much (unless there is full moon, which can be amazing).

Menu is quite complete, mostly local pasta and fish specialities with significant operations at a decent price (not like in ANY restaurant in Porto Cervo!).

Good to go with children as well (although there is no pizza!).

Basically a clip joint to snag tourists. Was told fish of the day was 1kilo and then given a 3 kilo fish- enough for 4-6 people at least. We were a party of two- such a waste of food, money and time. If I’d wanted to spend €90 on a main course I would have gone to any number of other more reputable places. The saddest part is that the food was mediocre. Esperienza pessima. Posizione ottima per godere di una vista unica, peccato che tutto il resto è stato un disastro. Lo si è capito fin da subito, ovvero dal momento in cui il personale si è presentato al tavolo trattandoci come amici di vecchia data e con una conoscenza imbarazzante della carta dei vini basata su giudizi personali molto discutibili e impropri. Il primo piatto con condimento di vongole era senza lode e senza infamia, mi sarei aspettato di più da un ristorante con specialità di pesce. Il secondo piatto ovvero la frittura di mare, avremmo dovuto rimandarlo indietro e chiedere subito il conto: gommoso, insipido, duro, scarso, pesante, rozzo e palesemente di bassa qualità. Lo abbiamo fatto presente al cameriere il quale non si è posto minimamente il problema, come se fosse abituato a sentirselo dire spesso. Detto ciò ci saremmo aspettati un gesto da parte loro per cercare di rimediare, ma niente da fare.
