Osteria del Porto da Lorenzo is a delightful gem that offers an unparalleled dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The restaurant boasts a charming and authentic ambiance, perfectly complementing the stunning views of the marina.
The menu is a well-curated assortment of local dishes, each prepared with the freshest local ingredients. We started our meal with a selection of antipasti that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. The seafood dishes, in particular, were outstanding, with the local catch-of-the-day fish proving to be a highlight. Each course was paired with exquisite local wines recommended by the knowledgeable staff, enhancing the overall experience.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. The attention to detail and the passion for quality food were evident in every bite. Osteria del Porto da Lorenzo is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary journey in Sardinia. We will definitely be returning for another...
Terrible experience from start to finish. We ended up here by chance—unfortunately. From the first course to the bill, it was an endless sequence of disappointments and nerve-racking waits. For a starter to share, we ordered mussels: dry, tasteless, and with a decidedly unpleasant smell. After that, the empty plates stayed on our table for almost an hour. After the interminable wait, the second course finally arrived: Sardinian fregola with seafood. A meagre dish, with barely any seafood and an inedible “decorative” crab. We had also ordered a scorpionfish, which was never shown to us before cooking, and whose weight was never disclosed. A long time passed again before anyone asked if we wanted coffee. Instead, we ordered a digestif… which never arrived. Tired of waiting, we asked for the bill. We waited. We asked again. We waited some more. Finally, exasperated, we went straight to the counter to pay. There we found a woman completely uninterested in customers, busy arguing with the waiters about the various mix-ups between tables. Right in front of us, she asked the waiter how much the scorpionfish weighed—judging by his expression, he had no idea whatsoever. He made up a number on the spot, and the woman calculated the bill offhand. There are far better, more honest, and more customer-focused restaurants in the area. I have never written a negative review of a restaurant before, but in this case I felt compelled to do so. We will never be...
Read moreSummary: An average restaurant with overwhelmed staff but good location. The main issue is the service that is not very organized. We were 2 people and one of our dishes came around 15 minutes late. I was almost finished with my meal when the other dish arrived. The bottle of white wine that we had ordered was forgotten to be placed in the cooler at our table, while it was done for the next table. Seating and placement of customers was unstructured, we were getting assigned a table by a waiter then the next waiter asked us to go to a different table. In total 3-4 waiters were doing similar things in parallel without clear work split or structure. Food was ok but not great, pane bread was definitely not fresh, antipasti mussels were good, pizza was ok other main dish we had was good. There are better places in Cannigione so for me not more...
