When you say it is the experience that counts, and for sure the food too! Please refrain from eating the good warm bread with tasty Ascolan olives oil because you will need all the space you have in your belly. You just sit down and enjoy the extremely pleasant coming and going of the I would call him the master of ceremony. You are then served an infinite sequence of entrants, all exquisite and with amazing taste of the good local raw materials used. When you think you have made it, there comes the question if you want a pasta or a main. And then comes the good homely cake with anisette cream. Then, for sure the trio: anisette in different formats. All This in a courtyard against the walls of an old mansion of year 1400.

Obwohl wir nicht genau wussten, was uns erwartet – es gibt keine Webseite oder Speisekarte – hatten die Bewertungen Grosses versprochen. Und wir können nur sagen: Unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt, sondern weit übertroffen. Schon der Empfang war einzigartig: Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir an einer großen Holztür klingeln – ein ganz neues Erlebnis für uns. Nach wenigen Sekunden wurden wir von einem der herzlichsten Menschen, die wir je getroffen haben, begrüßt und sofort zu unserem Tisch im wunderschönen Innenhof begleitet. Der Service war einfach hervorragend: ohne großes Nachfragen stellte er uns eine Flasche Wasser auf den Tisch, schenkte ein Glas Prosecco ein und begann, eine kleine Köstlichkeit nach der anderen zu servieren. Nach etwa dem fünften Teller fragte ich nach einer Speisekarte, und er erklärte uns mit einem Lächeln, dass es keine gibt. Die Vorspeisen werden für alle Gäste gleich serviert, danach kann man zwischen zwei Vorspeisen (Pasta/Primi Piatti), zwei Hauptgängen (Secondi Piatti) und einem Dessert wählen. Diese Information gab er uns mit so viel Charme und Gelassenheit, dass wir uns sofort wohl fühlten und uns einfach auf das Erlebnis einliessen. Insgesamt wurden uns etwa 15 Teller in zügigen, aber perfekt abgestimmten Abständen gebracht – eine wahre Parade der besten Speisen. Der Gastgeber strahlte dabei stets Freude und Leidenschaft aus, was den Abend zu einem besonderen Erlebnis machte. Es war eine wahre Wohltat, einen so passionierten Gastronomen zu erleben, der sichtlich Spass an seinem Job hat. Nach den vielen köstlichen Vorspeisen waren wir mehr als satt, entschieden uns aber dennoch für ein Dessert, das ebenfalls fantastisch war. Wir waren tief beeindruckt von der Leistung des Herrn, der das gesamte Restaurant im Alleingang bedient hat – mit einer solchen Leichtigkeit und Freude, dass es einfach bewundernswert ist. Dieses Restaurant bietet weit mehr als nur ein 5-Sterne-Erlebnis – es ist ein kulinarisches Abenteuer, das ich jedem wärmstens empfehlen kann. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

If you're ever in Ascoli Piceno, a visit to Figli Di is an absolute must. Right in the heart of Ascoli Piceno, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that will linger in your memory long after your meal is over.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made us feel like cherished guests.

As for the food, it was nothing short of impeccable. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of the region with a modern twist. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients fresh and locally sourced, and the presentation was stunning.

The atmosphere at Figli Di was equally impressive. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and truly savor the experience, whether you’re there for a special occasion or just a memorable meal with friends.

Siamo stati a cena incuriositi dal programma di Borghese e dalle tante recensioni positive. Possiamo iniziare direttamente dicendo che le attese sono state rispettate in pieno. Qualità delle materie prime altissime, si parte con un giro di antipasti fantastici e fantasiosi, fantastiche le alici con il limone e la pizza con i pomodorini(incredibile al palato tra consistenza/scioglievolezza della massa e dolcezza dei pomodorini) per non parlare dell' insalatina russa con una maionese spettacolare. Gli antipasti erano tanti e vari, ognuno più buono dell'altro: stracciatella, cialda di sesamo, carota viola, ricotta con cetrioli, frittella con crudo e fico, carpaccio di manzo con gli asparagi, tacchino con peperoni e potrei ancora continuare visto che non sono finiti qui. Da lodare il fritto: le olive sembravano quelle della domenica dalla nonna e dei cremini che dire buoni sarebbe stato riduttivo! Nonostante basterebbe tutto questo ben di Dio(che può sembrare cibo semplice alla lettura ma grazie alla qualità altissima delle materie prime ed alla lavorazione sapiente e ricercata rende ogni assaggio un esperienza)ecco che Stefano, menzione d'onore per lui visto che è un fantastico padrone di casa (perché così vi sentirete, ospiti a casa sua, una gran bella casa aggiungerei)che vi accoglie dall ingresso e vi guida per tutto questo tour enogastronomico, ci consiglia un raviolo ricotta e spinaci con tartufo( assurdo!) e dei ravioli cacio e pepe con polvere di Gambero della Mazara. Inutile dire che entrambi i piatti erano squisiti ed equilibratissimi nei sapori (direi sorprendenti quelli cacio e pepe). Per il secondo purtroppo non c'era più spazio dunque siamo passati al dolce, una torta di rose calda calda davvero buonissima servita con la panna(mi sembrava aromatizzata all anisetta ma magari è stata un impressione mia). Infine abbiamo preso un caffè arabica d'origine colombiana fantastico, preparato con una particolare caffettiera e per quanto era buono l'abbiamo bevuto senza zucchero(Si, anche il caffè è stata un esperienza quindi) un amaro ed un anisetta rigorosamente meletti con ghiaccio,ciliege di diverse varietà ed infine un rhum spettacolare. A tutto ciò vanno aggiunti 3 calici di vino testa bollicine,passerina e pecorino, pane, oli evo di qualità, acqua(3 bottiglie) ed un simpatico chupachups! Dopo tutto questo uno potrebbe pensare ad un conto salatissimo ed invece solo 55€ euro a testa. La recensione può essere stata articolata ma con l'attenzione, passione e cura che ci mettono Stefano ed il personale di sala e cucina il minimo era descrivere tutto al meglio. Una perla al centro d'Ascoli che vale la pena di scoprire e godere in tutte le sue sfaccettature. Bella location e cibo e vino di altissima qualità, servizio impeccabile...cosa volete di più? Primo posto meritatissimo!!! Complimenti, davvero,...
