Finding an open restaurant on a Monday night wasn't as easy as one would have thought. We eventually stopped at Da Bruno pizzeria, and I wish we had not. We ordered a bruschetta with tomato, which was nice, and a mixed salad, which had far too many wilted leaves. It was in fact the worst salad I have ever had, anywhere. We also had two pasta dishes, Tortellini alla Boscaiola, which were nice, and Mezze Maniche alla Carbonara, which were nothing special. We also ordered a Pizza Amatriciana, which was a big disappointment, too dry and with a tomato sauce too sharp in flavour. Service was also very slow, despite not being busy. Overall, we would certainly not go back to Da Bruno, and wouldn't recommend it....
Read moreWe didn’t make a reservation, but they still took us in. The sign on the door says they speak English, but once they knew we didn’t speak Italian, the wait staff seemed to have limited English skills.
The food did take about 45 minutes to arrive. We ordered two pizzas, one was really tasty and the other not so much, but the latter was ordered more for us to feed our baby boy the topping meat than anything else.
