Waikiki Beach Bar — Restaurant in Bardolino

I came here with my husband in mid June at about 2:30 pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. They specialise in focaccias which come in full size or as baby portions. We ordered a baby focaccia each (the veggy and the mediterranea) which are half size portions and were sufficient for us. The focaccias were really tasty, with the bread and hummus being especially excellent. It's clear that they value high-quality local produce, as is detailed in the menu which is written in Italian and English. The staff were really prompt to serve us and very kind. Due persone, abbiamo preso un tavolo di fronte al lago, due spritz e un fritto di gamberi e calamari. Il piatto del fritto era composto da 2 code di gambero e 5 anelli di calamaro, al modico(?) prezzo di 17 euro... Non sarebbe troppo un problema, se non fosse che la frittura era più pastella che altro. Per far pagare 17 euro un fritto, mi aspettavo qualcosa mi meglio.

Il servizio, mi spiace ma è stato un po' scadente, se prendo una frittura, almeno due tovaglioli potrebbero portarli, visto che le posate non erano incluse.

Avrei sopportato tutto, se non fosse stato per il volume della musica fin troppo oltre il limite di sopportazione, non riuscivo a sentire quello che la mia amica mi diceva, ed eravamo a 5 centimetri l'uno dall'altra.

Alle 23.00 della sera, ho chiesto altri due spritz e mi è stato detto che stavano chiudendo. ( sul sito è riportato l'orario delle 00.00)

Mi spiace, come prima esperienza è stato un disastro, spero in una seconda.

Came past here and fancied a drink. Sat down and got a menu, to be told the bar was closed. There was a group who sat down 1 minute before us getting served. Walked further down and came back past 5 minutes later. Someone was sat at the table we'd sat at, looking at the menu. Can only assume it was an anti-English...
