Ristorante Birraria Ottone — Restaurant in Bassano del Grappa

I recently dined at Ristorante Ottone and was absolutely blown away by the exceptional food and service. The quality and price of the food were unbeatable; from the succulent Tuna to the exquisite Pluma di Patanegra, every dish exceeded expectations. We also enjoyed a delectable homemade pasta, which was truly extraordinary. What added to the charm of the place was the attentive service provided by the staff, many of whom are university students, carrying on the restaurant's fifth-generation tradition since 1870 together with the young lady owner. Moreover, the old-style ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it one of the best dining spots in town. We arrived and the restaurant was empty and they sat us next to the bar. We ordered the food and a good wine. We complained about the temperature so they installed a vintage fan that was ineffective due to the fact that it was aimed too high. The food was OK but the manzo was a bit tough and served up with a couple of slices of bimbo bread. We observed other people placed in the same section of the restaurant and when they complained they were informed that there was air conditioning in the rest of the restaurant and they were moved. Unless you are Italian or even more exactly from Bassano del grappa side step these peasants. I could understand if the rest of the restaurant was full but it was 15% full when we left. One of the best dining experiences I had in last year or two. The restautsnt is authentic and in old "wooden" style. The stuff is fast, very polite and professional and all of them speak english well. The food was amasing, everything we tried I can give 5 stars. Just perfect detailed flavours and good portions. You need to try green gnocchi alle erbe!

Even the "dolce" at the end and the local digestive they offered was exactly how to finish a good meal.
