Morla Bistrò — Restaurant in Bergamo

Visited Bergamo / Milan over Easter and stumbled accross this little gem on the Sat . A lot of restaurants near where we were were, in Bergamo , were closed for Easter and we’d all but given up and checked “round the corner” to see this place open . Went in, the owner / chef / manager whatever couldn’t be nice enough , was clear he had a limited menu (we were the only customers, it was late ish) he was closing for Easter after the Saturday, made my wife and I a lovely pasta dish and the kids (barely kids anymore) burgers , recommended the house wine “it’s what I drink” gave us what was left of their sweet menu and threw in desert wine , all in all wonderful service , hospitality (from all staff) and a very, very pleasant evening and a very reasonable price, the type of meal holiday memories are...

Esperienza serale pessima!: il locale ha un fascino underground e questo lo confermo in pieno, l'arredamento è assurdo e totalmente non convenzionale ed è esattamente ciò che mi aveva attratto ad entrare!. Vibrazioni simpatiche al suo interno e sottofondo musicale piacevole. Per il resto: cucina scadentissima, dovuta alla bassa qualità della materia prima. Dentro al locale un odore di fritto incredibile di cui si sono impregnati i nostri vestiti per giorni e giorni!. Se ordinate delle birrette okay andate sul sicuro, ma non abbiate la malaugurata idea di scegliere dei cocktails pestati perché neppure lì la materia prima è degna di essere servita: un saporaccio, una roba imbevibile e di scarsissima qualità. Non so come si faccia a servire certe cose alla gente!!; i gestori sono accoglienti nel loro servizio ai tavoli, ma i rifornimenti di viveri e bevande del retrobottega...

A great little spot that we were glad to happen upon. As per other reviews...the chap and the lady behind the bar / in the kitchen really make the place a winner. Great service , a decent selection of drinks, a pleasent atmosphere and very reasonable prices....
