Ol Giopì e la Margi ristorante tipico bergamasco — Restaurant in Bergamo

I'll be honest, the food was so and so, nothing remarcable and being in Italy, where the ingredients are so great, they could do way more better. When I shared my opinion to the waiter that asked me how was the food, he told me that "There is pizzeria!". I suppose he was trying to say that I have poor taste in food but it came out more like a pizzeria is better than their food :) Anyway, I don't hold a grudge - left extra tip :), but the food was pretty much average and I know what I'm talking about, because I''ve been visiting and eating in almost all Italy, north to south. In detail, the traditional filled pasta (casoncelli) was cold,  only the sauce was heated, the rabbit was so and so  (advertised as delicious) and so was the pasta with truffles on top (extra 5 euro; truffles were there, but no flavour present). So guys, given that you advertise your place as a traditional  restaurant, try more to improve the taste because you are not "there" yet. I went there with my husband and first think we noticed they gave us a different menu (in English) but it had less food than the one in Italian, I ordered ravioles and my husband deer, the food was ready in less than 10 min which we found strange since it supposed to be freshly cooked but we took it anyways and my Raviole was half cook half cold then the attention was a bit rude towards us so we decided to leave and AFTER we paid I told the host that my food was cold and he took so it so personal that started saying that wasn’t true and giving out to us for giving a bad comment to them saying we weren’t the firsts ones having that food and that it was impossible so we just left the place and the same host decided to follow us outside of the restaurant to continue giving out and then he just shouted F* YOU! in front of everyone. Amazing food and great ambassador for especially the local Bergamo food more than just being representative of the region (Lombardy).

I had the boneless rabbit with fungi and potatoes. Some of the complementary samples like mushroom soup and spinach ravioli were outstanding.

They offered a selection of desserts from the region. All of the 3 courses for just €29!

Great service and friendly staff.

The only feedback is perhaps to print a menu in English! But...
