We rocked up without a booking, and instead of giving us grief, the chef welcomed us, sorted a table for two in seconds, and even handed us a cheeky aperitif while we eyed the menu.

And what a menu – insane amount of choice, almost dangerous because you just want to order everything. The smell from that little oven in the middle of the kitchen? Pure torture. Had me starving before the pizza even hit the table.

Now, the pizza itself – absolute knockout. Back home, I’m stuffed after a couple of slices, but here? Light, crisp, beautifully balanced. I paced it with a beer, enjoyed every bite, and honestly, I could’ve demolished another. The atmosphere was buzzing too – relaxed, holiday vibes, full of locals and tourists enjoying themselves.
