The hotel is located right in the centre of the town, but my room (no. 37 on the third floor) was well shielded from outside noises. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the thickness of the internal walls. The people in neighbouring room no. 36 were not unduly noisy, but through the thin walls it was possible to understand every word they said and hear every noise they made. The same applies to the thin front door of the room - every noise from the corridor is audible inside the room. The room was also rather small for the two single beds placed inside.||Otherwise everything was fine; I was offered free parking for my motorbike inside the hotel garage, the WiFi had a throughput of over 2 MB per second and the room was clean, though its carpet and furnishings are rather old. The bathroom was impeccable and even featured a bidet.||I agree with other reviewers that the absence of a proper reception desk is a bit confusing at first, but regardless of using the main entrance at the piazza or the side entrance around the corner, a member of staff is quickly available to look after any newcomers. Unlike other reviewers as a single traveller I was very well looked after by the staff in spite of the fact that they had a tour group staying at the hotel at the same time.||Non-Italian language skills of the staff are however limited to rudimentary English, though the manager lady spoke passable French.||The one exceptionally great point about the place is the food. Though I share the view that the breakfast could be improved, the diner was absolutely spectacular. The cured ham antipasti was sublime, and the handmade pasta a delight. While I have my reservations about the specific room I was given, I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant - which the various Guide Michelin entries displayed on the front door of the restaurant...

The reviews claim the kindness and availability of the owners. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Cold, unpolite, basically a robotic couple that makes you feel like you're a nuisance rather than a guest. Moreover, two people stuffed into a single room barely fit to host a single, slim person - but paid as a double room - is a tourist ripoff (€90 per night! Outrageously high for what you get). Small and dirty, that's how our room was, with the tiniest bathroom on earth. Oh, quite important: please be careful when stepping out of the hotel, as the steps are not indicated according to Italian law and legislations, the floor is waxed and the risk of falling is very high. Walk watching your step at any moment. And if you fall, don't expect to find compassion or empathy from the owners. Rather, and again, a sense of nuisance and total lack of help. I have a video of the room and the hotel premises which I'm unable to upload, but please believe my words. I travelled all over the world and have rarely experienced this kind of behavior and...
