Worst meal i’ve ever had in italy to this day.
We walked in, the entire restaurant was empty, yet somehow there was only 1 table “available” inside with no reservations, which is fine. Except none of the other “reserved” folk that had tables reserved showed up for the 1.5 hr we dined at this establishment, it was pretty much empty except two other tables that showed up close to the end of our meal. We should have just taken this as our queue to leave.
We went to place an order and as we were placing our order we said we wanted to get an appetizer to share. Before we could even start saying what we wanted to order for our main courses, the server immediately was like “every person needs to get their own dish”… which is what we were going to do… if she didnt rudely interject. if they have an establishment rule, the correct order of things should be to let people place their entire order: appetizer, main courses, etc. AFTER they are done placing order if they dont fit the rules THEN you can mention it to the guests; the way they do it is extremely condescending and absurd.
Not to mention the food was mediocre at best. The fish was average. The pastas are below average. The breads they served were extremely stale.
On the way out my dad lightheartedly joked about how all the tables outside were still empty and the server(or manager, not sure exactly who this lady was) started to YELL at us “I dont have to explain my reservations to YOU” and we just smiled and nodded and she kept repeating herself. It was very odd.
If you want cheap food made with cheap ingredients in a nice location along with rude service this is your place to go.

Pranzo di coppia. Premetto che il personale è stato con noi molto cordiale e gentile. Purtroppo, però, il pranzo non è stato dei migliori. Abbiamo preso due drink per cominciare e pensavo arrivasse qualche accompagnamento, invece nulla, consiglio di alzare magari poco il prezzo dei drinks, ma di portare qualcosina da mangiare. Scegliamo di prendere due primi piatti. Ravioli zucca e pesce di lago affumicato e gnocchi con lavarello, arancia candita e liquirizia. Abbinamento molto intrigante quello degli gnocchi, purtroppo mal riuscito. La liquirizia copriva completamente ogni sapore e l'arancia candita non ha aiutato. Non ho sentito minimamente il sapore di pesce, è stato un peccato. La cottura degli gnocchi buona. Per quanto riguarda i ravioli, il pesce affumicato copriva completamente il ripieno di zucca. Forse la liquirizia avrebbe fatto miglior comparsa in questo piatto. Saltiamo i secondi e dividiamo una crème brulee. Ben cotta, buona, forse non avrei messo le fragole che stonano un pochino, ma non un difetto immenso. Altra nota spiacevole è stata, forse, frutto di incomprensione. Nel momento dell'ordine chiediamo qualche minuto per scegliere il vino e ci viene detto che sarebbe arrivato del personale di sala da noi nel giro di poco. Purtroppo non arriva nessuno e ci vengono portati i due piatti. Per non farli freddare decidiamo di non prendere il vino. Conto forse un po' alto per quanto mangiato. Bellissima la location vista lago, il locale all'interno e all'esterno è molto curato. C'è possibilità di parcheggiare gratuitamente nel parcheggio del ristorante, nel caso in cui sia pieno ci sono dei parcheggi a pagamento poco distanti (circa due minuti a piedi). Überraschend schade und schlecht!
Wir sind Gäste, die seit mehr als 10 Jahren sehr gern und häufig kamen. Immer waren wir zufrieden, auch wenn nicht alles immer unser Geschmack war. Heute aber hatten wir ein Erlebnis, mit dem wir nicht gerechnet haben: Beide Schwestern haben bedient, sie waren höflich und professionell, aber kein Lächeln oder eine andere persönliche Bemerkung. Die Vor- und Hauptspeisen waren durchschnittlich, aber eines der Desserts war als Küchlein eiskalt, geschmacklos und einfach nicht das, was wir hier jahrelang genießen durften.
Auf Nachfrage haben wir nett Kritik geäußert, die in einer Art und Weise aufgenommen wurde, die wir nicht erwartet haben. Man beharrte dabei, dass mein keinerlei Fehler begangen habe ( haben wir nie unterstellt), keinerlei Verständnis oder der gleichen, stattdessen wurde alles abgerechnet und es gab kein freundlich Angebot der Kompensation.
Wir waren viele Jahre lang freundliche, großzügige Gäste, die für das A La Fass Werbung in Frankfurt gemacht haben. So behandelt zu werden, war der Situation und der gesamten Historie unangemessen und nicht nachvollziehbar. Beide Schwestern haben sich schlicht gar keine Mühe gegeben und hatten kein Interesse am Gast. Stattdessen beharrte man darauf auch wirklich keinen Fehler begangen zu haben und stellte fest, anderen Gästen habe das Dessert zugesagt. Schade und für uns nie wieder. Es geht nicht um das schlechte Dessert, es geht um die Art und Weise damit umzugehen. Das war unprofessionell und beleidigt und passt damit in keiner Weise zum Anspruch des Restaurants.
Erstaunlich, wie Dinge sich ändern können. Für das A La Fassa, das dringend schon sehr lange ein neues Licht- und Musikkonzept benötigt, ist sicherlich künftig auch ein Hospitality- Training der Mitarbeiter...
